On my site I have a file uploader. <table align="center"class="table"> <tr> <td class="table_header" colspan="2"><b><?=$websitename;?></b> </td> </tr><tr> <td colspan="2" class="upload_info"> <b>Allowed Types:</b> <?=$types?><br /> <b>Max size per file:</b> <!--<?=$max_file_size?>-->50MB.<br /> <b>Max size for all files combined:</b> <!--<?=$max_combined_size?>-->150MB.<br /> </td></tr> <?For($i=0;$i <= $file_uploads-1;$i++) {?> <tr> <td class="table_body" width="120%"><b>Select File:</b> </td> <td class="table_body" width="120%"><input type="file" name="file[]" size="30" /></td> </tr><?}?><tr> <td colspan="2" align="center" class="table_footer"> <input type="hidden" name="submit" value="true" /> <input type="submit" readonly value=" Upload File(s) " /> <input type="reset" name="reset" value=" Reset Form " /> </td></tr><tr></table>
What I want it to do is when they have clicked upload file(s) I want that to change to "your files are being uploaded" and make the button unclickable?

My example code causes the following problem in Internet Explorer (at least, in version 6): it causes an unwanted cursor change when the button is clicked. DETAILS: Using my example code, here is what happens (step-by-step in chronological order): (1) the user hovers the mouse over the button, which causes the cursor to be a hand; (2) the user clicks the button; (3) the browser does its image-related activity; (4) immediately after step 3 is entirely completed (in other words, after the browser finishes loading an available image or after the browser times out from attempting to find an unavailable image), the cursor changes from a hand to an arrow if the mouse is kept still; (5) if the mouse is then moved while staying over the button, the cursor will change back to a hand.
As I said, in step 4, the cursor changes from a hand to an arrow if the mouse is kept still. I consider that to be a problem because I want the cursor to *always* be a hand when it is over the button. And, indeed, that should be the expected behavior due to the CSS code (style="cursor:pointer") in the button tag.
QUESTION #1: The problem occurs in IE6, which is the only version of IE available to me. Does the problem also occur in later versions of IE? (The problem does not occur in Firefox.)
I have this code that changes the color of the table cell when it is moused over, but I would like to also have it do this:
select radio button when cell is clicked. change class to blue3 when clicked and leave it like that until another is clicked. Continue changing color on mouseover. Code:
see attached picture. the orange "spinner" icon at the far left is designed to let user control to move the row up or down. It is 19px high. I want to write something like this:
Code: <script language="JavaScript"> function indexRow(o,e){ alert('position is '+ (o.offsetY)) } </script>
Now if someone clicks on the row with content "help" (2nd), I want to catch the click with jquery .click() and know within the jquery code that the user clicked on the 2nd <tr> element within table#tbl.
If someone clicks on the <tr> with content "this", my jquery code has to return 5, because its the 5th row.
I cannot get javascript to change an image to make a "pressable" button when select areas of an image map are clicked. I used index.html for testing purposes.
Hi, i'm creating my own image gallery using jQuery, and there is a set of thumbnails at the bottom. The thumbnails have been put into an array, using jQuery, but what i am trying to do is to return the position of any clicked thumbnail in that array. i.e. when the 3rd thumbnail in the list is clicked, return 3, when the 5th thumbnail is clicked return 5 etc....
This in turn will dictate which item in another array (the main images array) will be displayed.
<script language="JavaScript"> function changeColor(cell_id){var state1="#dde6ed"; var state2="#ffc20e"; var cellid = new Array ("id1", "id2", "id3", "id4", "id5", "id6"); for(var i = 0; i < cellid.length; i++){var nav = document.getElementById(cellid[i]); if(cellid == nav.id){nav.style.backgroundColor=state2;} else {nav.style.backgroundColor=state1;}}} </script>
what is wrong with this script. I put an onClick= changeColor(this);" in my <td> tag to call the script but still not working.
I understand the thread title isn't very descriptive, but what I am asking is hard to describe. Basically, I am linking to ID elements on the page. Once the link ttp://www.example.com/page.html#linkID is clicked, it jumps down the page to the ID.Normally, this is not an issue. However, I have a fixed position navigation panel layer above the page content. When the link is clicked, it cuts off part of the content that I want visible because the fixed position layer is covering it.Is there a way with Javascript (even better if it can be done with CSS) to control how far down the page goes once a link is pressed? For instance, can I say: On link press, go to ID and apply top: 20px; or something to the effect?
Im trying to build on a script that I found on the internet and modified to my needs.urrently there are three images on the left, which, when clicked, change the image on the right depending on which of the left images was clicked.Simply, when you click the whisky link on the left you see a bottle of wiskey on the right. I have a calendar inside a div on my webpage which will show /hide when user click a button. but the button is almost at the bottom of my webpage, I am using position :absolute for the div so everytime when the div shows, it will "drop down" cause the vertical scroll bar appears on web browser and the user have to scroll down to see the whole calendar. I was trying to change the div position (e.g if it is near the bottom of webbrowser then "drop-up") when the div is showing.
My question is How can I know its position is near the bottom of web browser? (how can I know the height of the browser) How can I change the position of this div?
