I am resorting to you for help with a html form that uses javascript to validate data. the form is an invoice for a trip order where the user can select a trip location out of a listbox, a number of people traveling, and where they wish to stay(ex. hotel, tent, etc.) after the user selects one for each category and hits the "add to invoice" button, the fields in the invoice should get filled with the corresponding information. Now my question is how can I write code that will insert information in the next row down after the previous row has been filled? basically what logic and programming structure do I need in my function that will know when the first row in the invoice is filled. I'm struggling at the part where when the "add to invoice" button is clicked. some data is added to the invoice, and if the user wants to book another trip, the second trip should be appended in the second row of the invoice. what is happening in mine is that whenever I book another trip, the first one gets overwritten when in fact it should be left intact and the data should get appended in the next row down.

I am trying to check some textboxes if they have no value, and a listbox. However, with my current code, it seems like the OR code is not working like it should be. <script type="text/javascript"> function checkEmpty() { if (document.editForm.varenummer.value!="" || document.editForm.serienummer.value!="") { if (document.all("reakke").options[document.all("reakke").selectedIndex].value == "2") { alert(); } else { document.editForm.submit(); }} else { alert("Indtast venligst alle informationer"); }} </script> As seen above, if Varenummer or Serienummer is not equals nothing, then check the listbox, but if they are nothing then do the else statement. However as I tested, the else statement only triggers if both Varenummer and Serienummer is nothing.
This code was working originally. Then I had made some modifications and things weren't going right so I went back to how it was originally, and now it's not working!What this does is add a file text box when you click a button & then remove it when you click on its link. I get an error though when I click the Remove link saying that its argument is invalid. I don't understand why since its the exact same line of code the Add button has except assigned to a new variable.
This is the line that's coming up with the error: var d = document.getElementById('addToDiv'); in the removeAdditionalFile function. The error message says 'Invalid Argument'.
Here's the javascript:
function addFileTextbox() { var a = document.getElementById('addToDiv'); var b = document.getElementById('theValue');
Address Line Fields: text should be input into these fields manually Primary Address field: text should be dynamically populated into this field based on the text manually input from the Address Line fields.
The below are the manual input fields:
Address Line 1: Text1 Address Line 2: Text2 Address Line 3: Text3 Address Line 4: Text4 Address Line 5: Text5 Address Line 6: Text6 City: Text7 State/County/Region: Text8 Zip Code/Post Code: Text9
The below is the Primary Address field which should look like this when the text has been input into the manual fields:
In other words, as I type the text in the Address Line fields, the text is added to the Primary Address field or textbox separated by commas automatically/dynamically.
Is this at all possible with javascript and is there some code that can do it?
I'm looking for a way to write(type) within two or more textboxes at the same time. So if I would write ''hello'' in textbox A, this word will show in al other textboxes (type input - not textarea).
I have countries listbox, for instance if i choose singapore listbox it should display the corresponding states listbox of singapore, if i chose anyother country it should display a label saying "ENTER STATE" followed by a blank textbox.
I am trying to make a simple form that splits two words that a user enters has entered into a text box into separate querystrings. The user enters two words into a textbox and clicks submit. I then want use javascript to: -Check the user has only entered two words, -Trim any leading and trailing spaces, -Split the two words into separate boxes and submit the data to a different page.
I currently have two selectbox, the first for categories and the second for subcategories. When an option from the category selectbox is chosen I would like the subcategory selectbox to be filled with options drawn from an array.
The following code I have works for Chrome and Firefox but not in IE, I would appreciate any help to fix the code or new code which does a similar function.
I've searched the web and every tutorial I can find says the same thing, and I am doing what they say, but it's inexplicably not working. Basically, I'm using a nested object to populate a select box using the new Option() method. Unfortunately, when I include the new Option line, it breaks the loop and does not add anything.
I'm trying to create/add options to select elements in a form. My form has several select elements, only first is actually populated and visible. Each select element is on a seperate table row. Depending on the option chosen in the first select list, another row (select element) becomes visible which is then populated depending on the option chosen. I accessed the select element and created the option(s) using this format
I have a javascript function which adds a label and value to a select widget in its parent window. The function is working fine in firefox and chrome without any errors or warnings. But it is not working in internet explorer.
I'm using dreamweaver cs5 and I have created a page that have a table that can check or uncheck certain option in each row..in every column, there is a main button ('m planning to add function in the main button to be check all or uncheck all - but I did not managed to do it right...there are errors)
For example: Pulau Pinang button, when user click, it will check/uncheck all option under Pulau Pinang...same goes to other columns. After selecting their option, user can submit their option using submit button (option chosen can be in different columns). My problem is, my submit and reset button is not functioning besides, I'm not able to make the main button to check or uncheck all option..
Below is my coding for reference: PHP Code: <!DOCTYPE ...> <html ...> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <title>Untitled Document</title> <style type="text/css"> body { background-image: url(images/crop.jpg); margin-left: 130px; margin-top: 60px; margin-right: 130px; margin-bottom: 100px; background-color: #FFF; } body,td,th { font-size: 14px; color: #000; } </style> <script type="text/javascript"> function MM_swapImgRestore() { //v3.0 var i,x,a=document.MM_sr; .....
I'm using a multiselect box on my website, similar to this one: <Select Name="multiselect[]" multiple="multiple"> <option>This is option 1</option> <option>This is option 2</option> <option>This is option 3</option> <option>This is option 4</option> </select>
Now I want to set option 1, option 2 and option 3 as selected (highlighted) in javascript. How would I go about doing this? I tried something like this: document.taakform.elements['multiselect[]'].selectedIndex = "1" document.taakform.elements['multiselect[]'].selectedIndex = "2" document.taakform.elements['multiselect[]'].selectedIndex = "3"
I have a multiple select box and want to be able to select from this box and transfer the selection accross to a div using an "Add" button. I have this working fine but I want to append to the list, rather than replace the list when further selections are made.
I somehow need the function to remember the original selected array and then merge the new selected array and the old array if another sleection is made. This is all I have so far...
function editOptions(action) { var optionsBox = document.getElementById('optionsBox'); var selectedArray = new Array();
1 Box holds 3 items, Complete box weighs 75g, each item 25g, customer chooses their own 3 combo items. This could be the same all the same item or 3 different items.
I need a script that will require the selections to make up 75g in order to continue the process. i.e customer can only continue when 3 items / 75g worth are selected.
Here is a short version, I have about 12 selectors at the moment and possible more will be created (if that matters).
I'm somewhat new to jQuery and writing jQuery plugins, but I'm trying to find a way to be able to have seperate instances of a jQuery plugin with different options.So far, the tutorials I've come across can allow multiple instaces, but the options are not independent.This is the framework I've constructed:
$("#div1, #div2, #div3, #div4).click(function(){ //Get the Current Selected Picked //I Would like to get if the item clicked was the Div1 or Div 2 or Div 3 so I can make changes in the selector chosen }); How do I do that? It's really simple but I tried $(this) but does not work.
