Here is the example i am trying to achieve, following is the dynamic HTML table(with form) created using PHP and you will find checkboxes being named as 'select[]' and textarea as 'comment[]' the numbers within the boxes are random numbers.. i need to validate these two fields from the HTML table using Javascript before this form is submitted..i have this array defined in PHP and able to access the same array in my javascript..but for somereason i am unable to get the values associated with the table elements:
I am looking for a solutions for the following problem, I need to access at database from within a website, from where I can retrive a specific document in the database and mailing it to someone else. Of course I cut crab the document from the database and save it on my harddrive, and then send it. But this process don't fit into our busy days.
Im having the weirdest problems with my ajax. Now first off i have horrible coding convention!! I have one Ajax.js file which handles all my ajax requests and one ajax.php file which handles retrieving data from a database. The problem I am having is when ever I call a certain method which contains a if statement and runs the respective ajax function, it sometimes evaluates the if statement wrong. The weirdest thing of all is when I use FireFox's firebug and step through the javascript code to see why its evaluating the if statement wrong, it evaluates it correctly.
So basically if I don't step through the javascript code it evaluates the if statement wrong which means one of my variables are not being set in time for it to be used in the if statement. BUT if i step through the code with firebug it evaluates the if statement correctly! Now I have tried this is all the browsers and sometimes it evaluates the if statement correctly and when i keep refreshing the page it will sometimes evaluate the if statement correctly! Now I know this makes no sense, but I'm just as confused! The only reason I can think why this is happening is that one of my variables are not being set in time for the if statement to use it!!
I am attempting to create an Access database connection from within an HTML page. I am using Javascript to make the connection and then test a basic UPDATE statement.
The following code is throwing back an error 'UPDATE statment syntax incorrect'
Code:
I thought the syntax was correct, but maybe it is something else?
i need some help with an assignment. the program needs to display a list of flights from options selected from drop down menus. i have written the code to display all flights, now i need to write the code to include the options such as destination and airline. here is the whole of the code.
I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong here. I have a select control and I'm trying to determine what index or value was selected and I can't seem to get it to work right. I'm sure it's something simple but I'm new at this.
Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
I am trying to create a form for authorised users to upload photos to an image gallery. I'm attempting to perform simple validation of the fields by ensuring the fields aren't empty and that the extensions are right. However, I can't seem to access the actual values of the fields to start with.
If I simplify my problem, can anyone tell me why this would work in a Javascript alert:
I have a form with a lot's of number of Text and Hidden Fields. I just do a simple loop to get each value for each attribute. I have about more than 2000.
if i do something simple like :
for (var i=0; i<2000; i++) aValue = i+10;
it runs well. But if i do something like for (var i=0; i<2000; i++) aValue = document.myForm.elements[i].value;
it gives me 100% CPU for a long time before i submit the form.
I an designing a website and the user need to select from option of three values. Each option selected have a numerical value. On selection the numerical value attached to the selection will be multiplied by the another value in an input box to get a final value.
I am trying to create a script to randomly assign recipients to givers for a Secret Santa.he participants are placed into groups. A giver cannot be assigned a recipient with whom he is grouped. I want to return all of the assignments in a table. I have made the following script. When I run it, it seems to get stuck in a loop. Any ideas why this might be? If you have any questions about how I want this thing to run, feel free to ask.
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript"> function check_length() { var x = document.getElementById("tbDescription").value; alert(x);
[Code].....
but get an object required error in IE and ocument.getElementById("tbDescription") has no properties in FireFox. I have tried using the single, double quotes, and nothing around the tbDescription in the javascript function, but none of the 3 helps.
So I'm a novice coder and have been trying to piece together a (seemingly) simple function. I want the user to be able to enter in a certain amount of time into a form, and then when they click submit, it opens a new page and closes after that amount of time.There is a very simple form on the first page that accepts input and looks like so:
<form action="onbreak.php" target="_blank" method="POST"><p class="fillable">I would like to view <input type="text" name="url" id="url" value="" size="30"/> for <input type="text" name="timeinput" id="timeinput" value="" size="3"/> minute(s). <input type="submit" value="Break Me!"/></p></form>
HTML Code: function makeForm(name) { mypara=document.getElementById("paraID"); myform=document.createElement("form"); myselect = document.createElement("input");
[Code].....
I am creating a form dynamically using javascript.The form is created successfully. After creating the form before submitting the form i would like to make some check points before submission.so while creating the form i am adding the event on submit=call function for validation .THe function is called successfully but i am unable to retreive the form values in the validation script
i am having problem with the addition of values in the amount field.before i created 5 rows manually in the first table and used addAll() function. It was working fine.but now when am adding/deleting rows dynamically the same function is giving me problem in addition.

So I have a table with a column that contains checkboxes. I need to get the checked value of the checkbox for a given row. I'm new to jQuery so I only know how to get the html value of a table cell with something like this,

How do I get the value of a checkbox in a table cell?I have a function,
$("#MyTable tr").dblclick(function(e) { });
So when someone clicks on a row in the table, it pops up a form and populates it with the values from the table row, so they can update it and then submit the changes to a databaseOn the form is a checkbox, I want to set it to the value of the checkbox in the table cell in the selected row. Any suggestions on how to do this?
I have a asp.net gridview wich has checkboxes for user selection. What I want to do is retrive the value of a cell when the user clicks on the checkbox
I've managed to read from a local database using only javascript and the DAO ActiveX object, but I can't make it work with a remote database. When I change the connection string from "C:..." to "http://..." it doesn't work any more. Any suggestion?
