I want to make a list of divs into a vertical scrollable slider. Each div will consist of a small thumbnail image, a small title header and a link.I haven't started coding this yet but the above code should give you an idea of what I'm aiming for. The image thumbnails will be floated on the left, and the titles/links will be floated on the right.
I've been looking at the jQuery Scrollable script here and when I tested it with JS turned off, the rest of the content within the slider stayed hidden, instead of being visible and there was no way of viewing the rest of the content within the slider, other than the three images that were "in view".I would like to know if there's a way of making all the content within the slider visible all at once when JS is disabled. Is it possible to do this?
I am creating a website that uses columns (example) and I would like to be able to click left and right buttons to scroll horizontally one column at a time without the header and footer scrolling with the content.
I have tried using Scrollable and JCarousel but both require you to scroll through a set of list items. I need to be able to scroll 320px at a time. Is this possible?
Ok so I have a site that I want to automatically close the window when the focus is lost from the page. For example, if the user clicks off the page to something else on there desktop I want the page to close. So far I have managed to do this but the grids on my page and the scroll bars all trigger the close function when clicked on. Is there anyway to make the scroll bars and drop down boxes not trigger the function?
I'm using a JQuery function to slide a div into and out of visibility, but every time I toggle, the browser resets my view to the top of the web page..What I want to happen is when you click to reveal the div, the page scrolls down and the div content is in full view. When I click again to re-hide the div, I want the page to scroll back up smoothly instead of just reverting to the top of the whole page...The page url is: http:[url]....Here's my code:
I'm trying to make my body content scroll at the same time as an iframe located within the body. This has to do with the age old problem of mouse focus on iframes. When my mouse reaches the iframe and it takes over focus, I would like the body to keep scrolling until the iframe is right at the top of the screen. After that I want to relinquish focus to the iframe. I don't mind if the iframe starts scrolling as soon as the mouse reaches it, so long as the main body keeps scrolling for a while.

I have no problem attaching an event handler to a single anchor labelled with an id. But I can't get the following to work on all anchors, meaning nothing happens. Any idea about what's wrong here? Code:
I implemented some code to perform highlighting and specific anchors are used for the searched words. The problem is when the searched words are inside <a href> tags, the links are lost after putting my anchors. For example:
I'm sure the answer to this question has to do with iterating over each element in the wrapped set, but I still don't understand why. I have a number of anchors in my page that have a class named Get.I want to append a querystring name value pair to the end of each href.
$( '.Get').attr('href').append('&id=' + id); does not work. Can someone tell me why and what is the correct solution.
