JQuery :: Load Image Into A Certain Div From A Thumbnail?
Jun 2, 2011
I'm using joomla to build a website and I'm stuck to the point where the user is supposed to click a thumbnail and load the large image into a div where it shows another image. The code I have now is below and I'm sure something is very wrong:Here's the jQuery code:
var $j = jQuery.noConflict();
How am I supposed to load the image from the link to the div?
My jQuery is set up so that when I click on a thumbnail, a div opens up with the bigger image. I also want the thumbnail of the next image to appear in the same div. So if I click the cat, I want to see the large cat and the pig thumb. How do I tell it that I want the next IMG inside the next A inside the next LI?
I have gotten my script to do exactly what I want it to do with one exception. I have some thumbnail images that people can mouse over and the actual image is 100px by 75px. That is what I use for my thumbnail and they reside in www.website.com/images/thumbs/image1.jpg. I have the large version of the image that resides in www.website.com/images/image1.jpg. Its actual size is 640px by 480. When I mouse over my thumbnail, I don't want the thumbnail to appear for the larger image, I want the large image to appear instead? Let me know if you need ellaboration.
I am trying to put together a purse shopping site - I would like to have the various views of the same purse in thumbnails under one image then when the customer clicks on the thumbnail the larger image will go into the viewing area. The general layout is like this page - [URL] So when someone clicks on the smallest image I would like it to replace the other image on the page and the larger image becomes the thumbnail. How is this accomplished?
I am trying to see if the following can be achieved using Jquery I need to create a thumbnail gallery, where when a user hovers over any thumbnail image they would get an option to download the image either in High or Low resolution. Something like how you see in the below mockup.
I have a page that contains thumbnails for a photo gallery. On this page is a link to upload more images. When you click the link a modal opens that contains an upload form (jquery colorbox in an iframe) which will allow you to upload one image (plus its name, caption, etc) at a time using PHP. When the form is submitted the image uploads and the page refreshes in the modal to allow for more uploads.
Since this modal is sitting on top of the existing gallery thumbnails I'd really like for the user to see the new thumbnail added to the page after it's uploaded.
I have a webpage with a left navigation bar and a content box with thumbnails in. I would like to be able to click one image and have all the thumbnails hide and show the larger version of the image in their place.
I am trying to use facebox on my site where when a thumbnail of a image is loaded, the large image appears on top. Currently when I select the thumbnail link it goes to new page with large image. I have done the following but still doesn't seem to be working.
I have downloaded css and jquery files and places in relevant folder, also given images. <a href="<?=WEB_PATH?>/images/large/<?=$Row['file_name']?>" rel="facebox"> This is where my large image files are saved.
I am creating a grid of thumbnails. When a user hovers over a thumbnail, the image enlarges. The *trick* is, I want the "active area" to only be the size of the thumbnail. That is, the thumbnails are 180x120, and when the mouse leaves that area, I want the large image to shrink back to normal size.
I have a working demo here:[url]
The way I accomplished this feels hacky though, and I's like to know if there's a simpler/more elegant way to accomplish it. The thumbs are an unordered list of images.
In essence, I add an overlay div over each thumbnail which acts as the trigger to shrink the enlarged image. I thought I could use the parent <li>, as it doesn't appear to expand with the image (since I've set its size in my CSS) but that didn't work.
I've been looking all over the place in order to find a script like they use on Foliostars, where you see a sliding semi-transparant text layer over a thumbnail image when you hover. how to achieve this using JS or an Ajax framework (preferably JQuery)?
i'm making a clothing website and i was just wondering.. if i have a bunch of thumbnail sized images on the page atm, how would i go about so if people put their mouse over the thumbnail, it would load the full sized T-shirt? I obviously have the images on my computer and host for the Thumbnails and the Real-image sized shirts.
*peeks into the ol' coding forum n' sooo glad its still just a here? the scenerio... there are four 'thumbs' in row 1...thumb1 thumb2 thumb3 and thumb4 there is one just a large? image in row 2 that changes when the respective thumb is clicked from row 1...AND @ the same time??? the thumb that was clicked just a changes? too... so now when the viewer just a clicks? thumb2....the big picture should change to BIG 2...the thumb1 should go back to its 'off' state n' thumb2 should be in its 'on' state...
/me found just a script? that does it for two thumbs...aka they change back when one or the other is click...BUTTT.../me cant just a copy? the script changing values to make it work when thumbs 3 and 4 are added into the mix...:O((( heres what /me has so far...

I was wondering if someone could assist me with a problem, i am trying to use the simple mouseover function to to able for my user to mouse over an thumbnail image and them the full size image apears in a black space on the webpage!plus, is there a way to have only 1 image instead of having a small one and a large one. i.e a large image can be resized for the thumbnail and appears normal in the mouseover.
I would like some help with a two stage display of thumbnails. I have managed to display all thumbnail product images of my targetId in a scrolling div from the contents of my targetId image folder. I have also managed to display the thumbnail as a larger image in a html image. I would now like to apply a href link to the larger image so that I can display using jsquery lightbox,
I tried the script below in IE 6, 7, and 8 and it all seems to work, but it doesn't work with firefox 3. I'm trying to do a preview to an upload image, pretty much like how kijiji does it. (try it with kijiji if you want to know what I mean). This script shows a thumbnail of the image that is about to be uploaded before the form is submitted.Anybody know how to make this work in all browsers?
Code: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> <html>
HI'm have set up a gallery site, pretty standard stuff with thumbnails to the right and big image to the left. I would like to add a fade in on the big image when the thumbnail is clicked and don't really know how to implement it.The big images are contained in a div called <#left> while the thumbs are within a div called <div class="gallery">
