JQuery :: Full Size Image Window From Preview Gallery?
Jun 16, 2010
I so far have a scrollable image gallery of some thumbnails, I now wish to be able to click on the thumbnails and it load the corresponding full sized image with the website and everything else behind it being darkened/dimmed.the xhtml is structured like this so far, with no links to the full size images
I am brand new to JQuery but love it already. I have a couple of questions about a image effect I have found on a site and have used in my website. I found it herehttp://www.htmldrive.net/items/show/136/Image-Preview-Gallery and you can see how I am using it [URL]... The problem I have is. Is there anyway to add a per-loader into the jquery while theimage loads as the images I am using are larger then what the person that made used and the images are taking a little while to load. and also when you click the image it takes you to a new page with just the image on it is there a way to stop it from doing that?
I am looking for a plugin that will popup a full size image WITH HYPERLINK when user clicks the thumbnail image link. I found [url] is useful but I can't add the hyperlink to the full size popup image.
I have a page, which is actually a photo gallery with a table having 3 rows. First row shows the full screen size pic. Second row displays the Caption of that image and third row shows thumbnail view of six different images and the previous and next button.this is the sample layout:
<table> <tr> <td colspan=8>
[code]...
My requirement is whenever the user click on the thumbnail view, which is in the 3rd row, the corresponding full screen size pic should open in 1st row of the table. As my photo gallery should be having more than 6 pics, lets take 20 pics, I want to show only 6 thumbnails in 3rd row at a time. Whenever user press "Next" button the 3rd row having 6 thumbnails should show other 6 thumbnails and previous button should show previous 6 thumbnails.
I am to create 4 links on a html page that when the link is clicked it brings an image up in a certain position. When you click the second link it is to bring that image up in the same position as the first image and so on and so on. I can get the links to work but the image is full size and it is not in the position that I was expecting it to be in. Once the image is displayed it covers the links so they are not able to be used. I put all the code on one page just for testing purposes, I figred that if I could get it to work in one page splitting the code into a css page and a js page would be the easy part. I have rewritten the code with buttons instead of links and I get the same result.I think there is a problem with the css but I am not sure.
I am trying to make a site for a photgrapher where the user see's thumbnails of his pictures, then when the pictures are clicked on I want them to open up in a dynamic content box.I can only assume that this is JS/AJAX coding that does this.I have found the following bit of code that does almost this. Except it performs the function on page load and not on mouse click and it opens one of two pages randomly.
var interstitialBox={ //1) list of files on server to randomly pick from and display displayfiles: ['samplecontent.htm', 'samplecontent2.htm'],[code]...
from what I can tell, each thumbnail would need their own bit of code that calls on a function related to the full size image url.
I have a couple of image slideshows on my site and in IE occasionally the images appear shrunk down like thumbnails instead of full size. why that might happen and what i could do to stop it? [URL]
I have some jQuery that inserts rows in a table, and currently just set the font colour of the new row to a highlighted colour for a second or so, to show the added row.I would really like to be able to make the new row grow from zero height to its normal height, rather than just appear, as this woudl look nicer. Similarly, when I delete a row, instead of fading to zero opacity, then being removed abruptly (which causes the rows below to jump up),I tried this using show() and hide(), which I thought would do it, but they don't. They fade the opacity correctly, but change the height in one jump.
I want every time i click on a link a new window to appear.. The new window i want to have the dimensions of the included picture. Finally I want a close button on the window ..
I didn't write much of this code, but basically, it opens an image in a new window. The problem is that the new window can either be the whole page, or a certain set size. I would like to make the window height and width determined not by a pixel number, but by a percentage of the size of the image I am opening in the new window.
here is the piece of code I think is pertinant.
// Strip file name from image src var spath=targ.getAttribute('src'); wholePathLength=spath.length; strippedPathLength=spath.substring(0,spath.lastIndexOf("/")).length;
I'd like to implement something like what's found on [url] game description pages (when you click on a screenshot's thumbnail you zoom to the full-size screenshot). I'm currently in the process of stripping down their code to the bare minimum so I could try to understand how this can be done and then make my own. But this could potentially take a lot more time than needed. Are there any tutorials that I could read on this, instead?
An example of the resizing of an image can be seen here as well as at most photography galleries that are full-screen. You can see the size of the image change by shrinking your browser window. I want to make that gallery using javascript. I already have the ability to make a horizontal slider with left/right navigation - that part is easy. I just have never done anything with dynamic image sizes. One thing that was brought up to me already was the ability to shrink the browser window to fit.
I'm trying to size an image to fit the browser window. It will be the only thing in the frame, so it doesn't matter if it's the background or not. I've found quite a few ways to have the image automatically resize itself where it either gets cropped off or changes ratio to stretch, but I've not found anything where it'll keep the full image and ratio and just have bars top and bottom or sides.
I am new to Jquery mobile framework.I have an asp.net web application and I want to convert it into Jquery mobile framework.I have a datalist on an aspx page. The size of the datalist decreases according to the window size to certain extent after which the size of the datalist becomes constant and doesn't decrease with the window size.
how to make the following two simple image galleries:This one displays a specific image when its link is clicked ((URL address blocked: See forum rules)/tests/gallerysimp.html) And this one displays the previous/next image for whatever's showing ((URL address blocked: See forum rules)/tests/prevnext.html). (During its code, it points to this .js file ((URL address blocked: See forum rules) /tests/ nextPrevious.js).)
My question is, how do I combine those two galleries? How can I make one gallery that contains both kinds of links? Since the two galleries were copied from different places, the names they use aren't the same, and I'm not sure what to change to make it all unified. (I tried fiddling with it for over an hour before giving up.)
I am working in Dreamweaver CS4 with both HTML and Javascript. I created a preview area and some thumbnails beneath. Each thumbnail is linked to a full size image. So far, so good. I'm attempting to follow a Javascript tutorial to make a lightbox. I added CSS rules and the javascript code in the hopes of having my thumbnail show the image in the clickable preview area when hovering. However, my fullsize image does not display in the preview area. Interestingly, when I hover over the preview, I see at the bottom of my browser that it is still linked, just not displaying. The preview area is blank.
where da boss wants our a large piece of our site to be fully dynamic and integrated on any screen size. This means changing font on size. Well I cam up with a solution, figured if no one has one better, then i'll share
I want to create quick preview window for images listed in my website. For example: if you go to this site [URL] there are little images on the right end side. When mouse over on any image, a bit preview window opens. I want something like this. How can i do it?
I have the basic image gallery set up for thumbnails to populate a larger image... i uploaded it quick, take a look: [url]
Only thing i need to do is make the next and back buttons work...i know its something simple im missing if you bring up the firebug console i have several console logs on the next button.
However, the value only seems to include the filename - and not the full path (what I'm trying to achieve, is a "preview" feature - which will shrink the image down to a fixed size, and update an existing <img id="xxx"> bit in the HTML)
I want to have a big image and say 5 small thumbnails underneath. When the user clicks a thumbnail, the image loads where the previous big image was. Is there a standard way to do this?
