So I have to ask some stupid questions and make sure that there is not something wrong in this simple syntax. I am trying to get input field attributes type and tagname by field ID. Heres the code..
Code JavaScript: var type = $('#' + input_id).attr('type'); var tag = $('#' + input_id).attr('tagName');
When I look in firebug I see there is the correct ID in input_id variable and that the input field with that id exists. But for tag and type variables I just get 'undefined' for reason unknown.. syntax is correct or?

This script disables it onclick, the problem is I can't figure out how to get it to submit the form as well.I have found it does submit if the input type is 'submit', but then it doesn't call the disable function. I tried writing another function to submit the form but no go.[code]

It should also filter the scroll down results. If it's possible I don't know how to do it.
I know that the input "file" type can't be customized very well using css, so I figured I might try to make my own with javascript. The only problem is, I don't know too much about javascript. point me in the right direction on how to make my own custom file upload box in javascript that works the same way as the default one works (so I don't have to edit my PHP coding). What I am trying to do is, for each file, make a new form (final), copy the template form data into the final form, then copy the file input field into the final form, and then call an ajax upload.
I've gotten everything but the file copy correct.
Here is the code snippet:
var checkin_num = 0 var app = $("#app-frame") //the frame where the web application is displayed var template_items = $("#CoreForm").find("INPUT"); //action/method and some hidden inputs set to '...' to save spece
