Adding Two Number And Getting The Result Automatically?
Jul 22, 2010
When updating our agency's webpage daily, [URL] I am looking for a shortcut to save time.. When I update air quality numbers. I have to put the conditions. Ex.. 50 = good 100= moderate etc etc. As you see here(bold and underlined)
Well instead of having to type good or moderate every-time to correlate with the numbers, I want to find a way the category can automatically default correctly when I put in just the number. Ex, if I put in the number 100, it automatically knows to issue/ put Moderate with out me having to type it. I semi wrote a code .. Yet can't seem to know how to execute. Seeing if Maybe I can get some assistance.
I have a function below where every time a question is submitted, it will add a new row in the table with a textbox which allows numbers entry only. My question is that I don't know how to code these features in this function:
I want the text box to be between 0 and 100, so if text box contains a number which is above 100, it will automatically change the number to the maximum number which is 100.
I wanna make simple script that multiply any input by .51 and show the result automatic, without pressing any button, I got two scripts first script add value one to value two and show result auto, other script multiply but I have to press button, how to merge them and if there are script do the job better than those tell me. Input Box, when I input any value the result of multiply that value by .51 appear beside it automatic
I want to build a web form that will allow users to enter 3 different numbers and get a result. The answer is arrived at by the following. Enter 3 variable A, B, and C. Then A / B = D. Then C / D = the Answer. Is there a way to set that up as a single click script? Everything I have tried has failed hard.
What I'm looking to do with the following form is when a user inputs a certain length width and depth the output will be set to a certain number of characters. Basically looking to add a zero before an input of a number lower than 10 in two fields (product_number & product_id)
For example if a user inputs:
The output I would like to have would be:
Right now the output looks like this:
The reason for this is so when I sort my products in my shop they will go in the correct numerical order as well as making everything easier to maintain. I only need it to be 2 digits before the decimal point because the max number input will never be over 99...
I have a form that has 9 pairs of fields on it. I'd like to change this so that there are only two blank pairs of fields displayed. As the user fills out a pair of fields, it adds another pair of blank fields. This way, the user can fill out as many as their heart desires, but those who don't have that much information to provide, aren't confronted with an unnecessarily huge form of blank fields.
Im building a small feature where users can create a page. They select an element they would like to add from a select box. When they select it it is automatically appended into the preview div. The problem is that they can choose to add any number of divs, p,s etc to this preview div and i need a way of giving them all unique ids so i can use them later.
I need US zip code formatting on my page. As zip code can be 5 digits or 5-4 digits, our requirement is that when user types in 6th digit, hyphen automatically gets added between 5th and 6th digit. Ex: user enters 100161, it should become formatted as 10016-1 and then user can continue to add rest of digits.
I use xmlhttpreq object to add data to the current html file. It will add to a specifiy place, like after a tag or before a tag And if it adds too many data after that tag, the whole page will become big and need to scroll down to see the latest added data how to let it scroll down automatically without any annoying scrolling down?
One way I can use is to use a anchor which is at the bottom of that page and after i put my data into the textbox and click the link( which is linked to proper file to process the data but also point to the anchor) the page will show from the bottom. but the whole page will first jump up a little space then jump down.
I am working on an HTML project that displays a field with a number in the field by each day. What it does is start at 0 on day one. Each day it adds a 1 to the field. Day 2, the field would say 1, then day 3 would say 2, and so on. I am not sure how to approach this. This is also displayed in an HTML format. I want to to be automatic and change as the date changesI will also need a way to reset it back to zero if possible.
i've got a program that gets input from a user, and then stores it in a cookie. That bit is fine, what is a problem is that its just overwriting the data each time a new entry is made, i believed this to be something do do with it not being numbered entry's, so i added a number into the entry, but for some reason it wont add 1 to the number variable each time the function is called
I want to create a script where when you hit a button it adds a number to a variable and when you click another button it shows you the amount you have so far. Also I am having trouble with the clear() function where it was suppose to clear the variable. When my var is equal to a certain number (not there yet) I want it to goto another page (I can do this on my own).
I am making a form using HTML and java where you enter a number and it uses an equation then spits out another number. My problem is I want to split the number you put into the form and add it up. Example You enter"457829"Press "convert"And the first step I want it to do is"4+5+7+8+2+9=sumA"Then"sumA/8"So far I can only do the sumA/8 if I manually add up the numbers then place the sum in the form, here's the code:
This is a hard one for me: I got some elements with the class "tiles". What I am looking for is a function, which adds a class "flip" to each element but with a delay between each call of addClass(".flip"), so that the elements change the way they look sequentially, not one after another, but with a delay. Has anyone an idea?
I'm trying to get my script below working. I've managed to get it to add fields dynamically but the remove function isn't right... and I can't think of a way round it. how can i incorporate a way for a limit on the number of fields that can be added?
ah, i've just looked into the operators in more details and -= is just for numbers... so this won't work. i presume this is going to be the wrong method then.
ave this form which gets created by pulling stock/products from a database using PHP and beside every product in the row is a little box for input and in there the user can input the quantity of the product they want. Sometimes only 2 products will be outputted and other times 10 or more. What I want to happen is when the user enters in lets say 3 for the quantity of a certain product I want to get a total for how much 3 of that product will cost so I just do 3 multiply by the cost (which I have from the database) and then display the total cost down under where the list of the available products are and I want all this to happen dynamically obviously not using PHP because I don't want the page to have to reload every time they enter in a new quantity.
I want to build a dynamic list of items with jquery but am unsure how to add an index number to each of the items i create so that i can reference them to edit or delete them for example. So far, I have the following which just creates the items and appends or prepends them to the element depending on whether one item exists already. I just need a way of adding an attribute so I can then reference the current item when clicked and remove it. What would be the simplest method to use?
Below is the script and form fields I am working with. What I want to do is sum the two textbox fields and have the result show in the total textbox. The code works fine and the total textbox is updated with the value of form1.basic. The problem occurs when I add the "+ parseInt(document.form2.supporter.value)" code in the script section.
