I have some table rows with an item, item description and a text field named "qty" for the quantity. If a user types a number above 0 in the "qty" field, I would like it to highlight the table row. If a user gos back and deletes the number already in the text field I would like the table row to return to it's default state. How can I do this?

Is there something that will update as soon as the user changes information in a textbox as appose to what onChange does, which is update once the focus has been taken off of the textbox? I am writing a custom cart and I am using AJAX to update the price according to how many they are ordering, I was hoping to have it update the price as soon as the user put in the volume, but it doesnt update until the user clicks somewhere else on the page.

have been trying to rework this to call additional, independent sets of colors to cycle through (so it would loop thru a set of grays, a set of primary colors, etc). I would use perhaps a different function name in the HTML to call different sets of colors. ABOVE this form I have a table with TWO ROWS (ROW1 and ROW2). ROW1 should correspond with TEXTFIELD1, so that when the VALUE in TEXTFEILD1 is changed the background color of ROW1 will change to match the HEX,DEC VALUE entered in TEXTFIELD1. Alright, the reason for putting InnerHTML in the title is this, if they do not fill out a form correctly, I want to also explain to them what is wrong, so make a text below all the form, or above it that says "The name can not contain numeric characters." etc... I have the highlight working though...
I have a table the displays results from a db query using php and mysql. The first column always contains a checkbox, so the user can check if they want this item. I want the checked rows to get higlighted and stay that way while they are checked. I was able to figure out how to highlight the rows on a mouse over but not as they get checked. Anyone have a script to accomplish this.. I'm sure its not too hard but i'm very new to javascript.
