Show And Hide Transparent Picture(png) Slowly And Smooth?
Sep 28, 2010
i want to show and hide transparent picture(png) slowly and smooth (opacity form 0% to 100%), it is working in all browsers except ie, there i have got black border ...
I wonder if its possible to show and hide a image with javascipt. I want the image to disapear from bottom and up very smooth, maybe under 3-4sec. Is it possible ? any tips ?
I need to see if I can shorten this AND see if I can have a "show all option" added. The page is setup like so.. I have the following javascript working.. I'm running jquery... being a semi newbie it took a while to get this running.I have 4 DISTINCT queries that load up select boxes. There are 4 select boxes .. on change, the queries will see what option was selected and re-run DISTINCT SQL queries so all the select boxes only have related info.. so no one ends up with a "zero" results.I'm hiding these to help walk through in a logical order. However I need to1) Have a show all and let them select anything they wish and show all 4 boxes. How can I add a "show all" to the script below2) I noticed on page load the boxes show and then slowly hide. THis looks messy.. how can I alter that?3) This seems long for what I'm doing.. is there a way I can shorten this code? What if I expand to 8 boxes.. then I'll have 8 simple if statements.. but it seems unnecessary.CODE that is working is
$(document).ready(function () { if ($("#pMaterial option").is(":selected")) {
I am trying to hide/show table when hide/show button is pressed
Problem: The code works fine when I remove 'slow' from line 10. But with 'slow' in line 10 content of toggleButton doesnt change from Hide to Show when pressed.
in order to fade the background of a div. The content in this div I'd like to have without transparency. In IE this is the case, but in Firefox the content also is transparent with 0.8.I tried to apply fade with 1 to the content but that did not work ...
I'm using Lightbox picture displayer [URL].. and a content slide show UI [URL].. on the same pagesimultaneously. Although when I connect to the javascript files in my html page one of the effects won't work. Whichever javascript file I include last doesn't seem to work.
In the scenario below my content slide show effects won't work because they are listed first. It seems that whatever is listed last overrides everything else. I've also listed the error I get when running the page.
The code is working 100%, but the only problem is with the function calling statement. It is working on the first img (picture) i want it to be called on the second picture.
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-w3cDTD xhtml 1.0 strict EN" <html xmlns=http:www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns = http:www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
I've been working on photo gallery that can be seen here: [URL] I would like the title to change according to the picture selected. This works when you click on the thumbnail images. However, it current does not work with the drop-down menu, "back" and "next" buttons, or the automatic slide-show.
i looking for a way to stretch picture in background and put some divs over that picture with links and text. what i find so far don't work in all browsers any one know something like this?
I always want "smenu3" to show with "smenu4" and "smenu5" collapsed... When the user clicks the link, it calls a javascript function to show "smenu4" like so...
I've started seeing this on a few pages and I'd like to add it to mine. I'd like to add a back to top button where it doesn't just jump right to the top, but acts like the user were actually using the scroll bar.
Here are some well done examples: [url] and [url]
I like the first one better (where it shows an up arrow if you've scrolled far enough), and I found what I think is the javascript responsible (though I'm not sure if it's exact right to take it.) let alone, i'm not sure how i would even implement it yet.
[url]
I've got a basic example working on my own site, I just don't know how to stop it, (right now it just keeps going and going even if i try to scroll back down.) i'd like to be able to tell if the user reached the top, then stop it, but from what I've looked, i can't find a way to check where exactly they are in my page.
I figure, if i can get mine to stop, I can fancify it later with the image that shows if you've moved down and what not, right now I'd like to just stop it when it reaches the top.
I am trying to hide some form elements in a form by default and show/hide depending on which radio button is clicked. This is what I have but it is not working: Code:
I'd like to have a show/hide widget on my web site, kind of like "show details" / "hide details" in Google Groups. Is there a tutorial explaining how to make them? Google's is a bit complex and it's easy to get something wrong. If the browser does not support the required features, I want it to generate a completely static page with the "details" shown automatically.
i have 5 sections in seperate divs and i am trying to collapse them using anchor onclicks and some js to toggle the display style. I am a little unsure of how to make this piece of code work a little more elegantly(lack of js symantic knowledge). Code:
I have 5 links and 5 divs. When the page loads I've set the visibility of first div to visible and all the rest are hidden. When the user clicks on second link I want to hide all the other divs and show only second. Similarly when the user clicks third link I want to show third div only. You get the idea. Here is what I have so far. Nothing happens when I click the second link.
