I was able to get that working but the thing is when the user clicks in the check box and hits submit I want them to be directed to a page which has a form on it but I wanted the page to open in the original (Parent) window. This is where I am lost cause I found some coding which will open the page with the form in the pop up window but Ideally once they agree to terms and hit submit I'd like the pop up window to disappear and the new page open in the Parent window... is this possible below is the coding I'm using.
Here is the form:

I have got a page on my website which has a log-in button, when this button is clicked I want a window to pop-up which enables the user the login. After the have typed in their username and password and it has been confermed I want the popup window to close.Now I know this bit is possible, but I would like to take it further if possible:This leaves the user on the page where they clicked the log-in button. After the log-in window closes I want this page to change to another page (not loading another window). SO at the end of it the user hasn't had to open or close any windows and they end up with only one window open.
I know the first bit is possible but I am not sure about the second bit.I would like to know if this is possible and how to do it.

When a user in somewhere of a site, he/she may want to login to access some user restrict pages. He/she clicks a login link on the menu and sign in on the login page. How to use JQuery to let the user back to the page where he/she clicks the login link?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn Chrome, the login page on my schools educational online platform doesn't remember the login info. So i made a bookmark with this javascript injection, that fills in the info, and focusses on the 'aanmelden' button (='login' in dutch), so that i only have to press enter to continue. Here's the javascript injection:javascript: ocument.getElementById('username').value='23889493984';document.getElementById('password').value='4 42384985';return false;document.getElementById('login').focus();This works fine but i'd like to make it happen faster. I wish i could let the script be activated instantly when the page loads, so i only have to press enter, or if possible, let the script click the login button itself.
View 19 Replies View RelatedI want two buttons: one for login and another for logout. Initially login button is enabled and logout button is disabled. When I click on login button, the logout button should get enabled and the login button should get disabled. And after that, when i click on logout, the login button should get enabled and the logout button should get disable.
Here's how far I could go with it,but it doesn't work.
I am using the following code to display an image in a seperate
window.
<form>
<input type=button
onClick='window.open("image1.jpg","","width=260,height=260,resizable=0,border=0")'
value=Shhow Picture'>
</form>
I want the window to be the exact size of the image so I set the width
and height of the window the same as the width & height of the image.
The code works, however there is a white border on the top and left
side of the image. If I add 20 to the width and height of the window
then there is a white border around the whole image.
Is there anyway to have the window the exact size of the image,
without this white border? I know there is probably a simple solution,
but I'm a beginner at JavaScript.
I have a form on a page and when the form is submitted it should open a
new window and post the content to it.
When the script being posted to is a html page, then this works fine,
but when the script being posted to produces an svg graphic, then there
is no 'view source'. Its almost as though the opened page headers are
already set for html and doesn't like the svg xml schema.
Here is the code:

}
document.report.target = 'view_report'
document.report.method = 'post'
document.report.submit();
mywin.focus();
I am confused as to why a window will not open if i include certain code. if i use code...

View 7 Replies View RelatedCode that worked in IE6 for opening a new window (window.open) now, in IE8, REPLACES the window with that code, on the same tab.
and the HTML code <a href=... target="newWIn"> is ignored, but if I delete the "target=..." it too replaces the current tab contents.
How do I open a new window, or at least a new tab, in IE8?
i have som trouble creating a login form which should only display on click.I have an image button with an a href and according class "setvisible" to make a div called "login_box" visible on click.The following should be possible:
-> Click on "Login"
-> Form opens
-> Click on "Login" again should close the form
-> Click outsithe the "login_box" div should close the form also
I've managed to get it working so far but my problem is that everytime you click in a field inside the login_box div the div closes.. I know thats because of the ('document').mouseup function but i don't know how to do it the right way.I know i could do this with "toggle" but i'd like to have fadeIn / fadeOut effect instead of just"show" and "hide"..here you can see a live working sample (click the blue login button):[url].....
I have a a html page that is used as a login page.I know it is not secure but this is just for learning purposes, I'm not using it for anything important.My problem is that when I put in the correct login all that happens is the page just clears the text boxes as if you were starting over.I am trying to get it to go to register.html which is located in the same directory as the login page.

<li><a href="javascript:ajaxpage('login.php', 'ajax');">Login</a></li>
But not the following
echo "Welcome Guest!<br><a href=javascript:ajaxpage('login.php', 'ajax');>"
I removed the " around the javascript:ajaxpage('login.php'); as it was giving me syntax error. But I am unable to cal login .php upon clicking Login. I tried various combination of single quote and double quote but I think I am missing some fundamental rules of single and double quote combination....or may be something else.
