View 2 RepliesHow can we open a flv file using the lightbox? I am using the following code
<a href="[URL]" class="lightwindow">Link Name</a>
But the browser still downloads the file instead of showing it in lightbox. One more thing...is it possible to display some text along with this video in the lightbox?
Does anyone know how to make lightbox open a .doc file?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to open a lightbox from a form.
It is a small search engine, when you press on search, it has to open a lightbox with the results, but i do not know how to target the lightbox.code...
What I am trying to figure out but having difficulty with is opening and closing a Lightbox from JavaScript. For example, if I use this html...
<a href="#testLB" rel="testLB" class="lbOn">Test Lightbox</a>
It will display a div since I coded this div in the HTML file...
<div id="testLB" class="leightbox">
<h1>Test</h1>
<a href="javascript: test();">Change Zip</a>
</div>
What I want to be able to do is to display this div with Lightbox but do it from JavaScript. For example, from the body onLoad event I would like to call a JavaScript function that opens a Lightbox.
Then, the Lightbox is going to contain a few fields so I was going to have JavaScript validate that the user entered all the fields. If they did, I then want to close the Lightbox. If they did not, I will display an alert message. I can get all of this to work except having JavaScript close (actually, it is hiding) a Lightbox div. Can someone help me figure out how to hide the div from a JavaScript function?
What I downloaded was Lightbox Gone Wild which I think is also called Leightbox.
I have a web page that contains a series of links, each open in a jQuery Lightbox.
What I want to do is automatically open one of these links upon page load.
I've tried looking at various online sources but they are all either too technical or don't seem to work. I'm obviously doing something wrong!The code is posted below, it's not very long so hopefully someone will be able to debug it!Original page:

View 6 Replies View RelatedAnyone here using Visual Studio 2008 to edit Javascript files? Wheneven I try to edit a .JS file (regardless of whether I've created it inside VS2008 or imported it), I get the tab with the file name, but the content doesn't update. I just see the contents of the previous tab, and if I type something, press save, rename the .JS file to something else and open it again, it turns out whatever I typed in is there.
If I "Open with..." the file, selecting source code editor instead of the default script editor, the file shows up fine, and I can work with it, but sadly without intellisense and color mark-up... Which sort of defeats the whole point of buying VS2008. I've tried the repair option from the VS2008 DVD, but no difference.
I'm using VS2008 v9.0.30729.1 SP1 on a swedish XP Pro SP2, tried restarting VS2008, rebooting etc, nothing helps. One workaround for me is to enclose the javascript in HTML "<script>" tags and renaming the file .htm and include it that way, but that's... ugly and ..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the following JavaScript (see below). The script requests an XML file from the server and displays it on the page.The script works fine when the requested XML file is stored on the same server as the script.The problem is when I try requesting an XML file from an external server such as the National Weather Service. I get an error. If I take the XML file from the National Weather Service and save it to my server it works. Why can't I use my script to request XML files stored on external servers?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have multiple parent sections on the page. Each section has 3 child sections. Each parent toggles open and closed. and within each section there are buttons to toggle the children open and closed.
In the case of both the parents and their children, when a parent is toggled open I want the other parents to toggle closed . The same applies to the children of each parent. I want to close all the other open children when a child is toggled open. Rather like some accordions - which I can not use for this function. This way there is only one parent and one child open at any time
Because of the number of parents and children on the page I can not use Ids. All are designated by classes
