View 3 RepliesHow could I open a page/popup after closing one? The objective is to log the user out if they haven't Logged out or clicked Logout.
I am sure there is a simple way to do this. None of my ideas work.
The only answer I could come with (after testing the whole day...) IE(any version), Firefox, and other browsers don't support this idea, due to the fact that the user clicked close and you can't impose things on them.
I want to know if I can open an another page or a form in popup using jquery?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI struck to open a popup window after submit the page. I used the following logic . but it's not open.
out.println("<a href="javascript:ozPopup('ozPpolApptChangeStartTime.jsp?apt=RptAppt&apptId="+id+"&date="+date+"','PpolApptLov','left=100,top=60,width=640,height=300,scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes');">");
I need a script to open a popup window which contains a php form.
after the form has been submitted or cancelled i need to go back to
the originated page (php also) and reload original page.
do you guys have any simple solutions?
I need to get the page to reload with the anchor in the link when it is clicked in a dropdown menu. For example if I am on 'www.domain.com/about/#2' and I then click on 'www.domain.com/about/#3' the url changes but the page doesn't reload so I need the page to reload, but keep the new anchor (#3).I gave the links with anchors a class of 'reload' and tried this:
$('a.reload').click(function() {
window.location.reload();
});
I am trying to dynamically open a popup window but ie8 blocks it with the popup blocker. basically within a ajax fuction I have a confirm button and if the user clicks yes it opens a popup window. now I tried it with a javascript function but it got blocked, so I have tried it by creating a form with a button in it and instead of calling the popup function direct I call document.form.button.click and in the form my button has onclick"popup('<? echo url; ?>')" but this also is detected as a unwarranted popup and is blocked.
now I understand that the popup blocker works when a popup is called without user interaction, but allows popups on say button clicks. how can I get the popup to work
I have a site where I am using window.open to open up and HTML page to a certain anchor.This works on some computers and not on others. The javascript part works fine but it does not go to the specific anchor all of the time. The code is correct because it works on my computer all browsers. The anchors do not work on my clients. There are 50 or some small images that I am anchoring. Could it be a loading problem with those images?Here is the javascript that I am using....
Code:
function popOpen(URL){
window.open(URL, '', 'width=225, height=325, top=0, left=0, scrollbar=no, resize=no, menus=no');
[code]....
What I'm trying to do is have a 'Save As' dialog box pop up when I click an anchor tag. What's hidden in the anchor tag is base64 information, so my anchors look like this:
<a href=# src='data:image;base64, (base64 string here)' ></a>
So when I click on this, it gives me the option of downloading my base64 info just fine, but the problem is, the name of it looks to be just the entire base64 string. I was wondering if there was a way I could set this name? I can get the file name, so I'd love to just put '....jpg' as the name that the user downloads.
The reason I'm asking is because when I download the file, it comes out as (random characters).bin.part, and if I know the download is a pdf, I try opening it with a pdf viewer, but get yelled at by the MIME type... however, if I simply change '.bin.part' to '.pdf', I can open the file just fine, so I'd love for an automatic naming system, but not sure how to implement that. I've tried the document.execCommand('saveAs', '1', '<filename here>'), but I think this is for an actual file that you serve from the server... I don't have the actual file, just the base64.
I have created a simple accordion that hides and shows span tags when the corresponding h3 header is clicked.
The Jquery:
$(".accordion span").addClass("answer");
$(".answer").hide();
$(".accordion h3").click(

However, I cannot work out how to test for the anchor and open the associated span tag
I'm opening a new window that contains a simple frameset (topFrame,mainFrame). On the mainFrame page I have along list of service descriptions each with their own named anchor.
Here is the script i'm using to open / center window in browser (script is from 'ultimate window pack' extention for dreamweaver): Code:
I want to call the .Net MVC controller and open the crystal report as pdf pop up. Is it possible with $.ajax()? My confusion is what to specify as dataType? Or is there any better way?

View 6 Replies View RelatedWe are trying to ensure that information is seen even if javascript is disabled. So we would like to create something that opens a popup as normal however if javascript is disabled it opens a new tab or window with the information. But if javascript is enabled it just opens the popup not the new window.
Is something like this possible and if so how would we do it?
How To Do a CSS PopUp Without Opening a New Window
i am using the code fom above for popup div but getting error

I need to make a image open a popup window, I know how to do it like this:
function load2() {
var load = window.open('pictures','','scrollbars=no,menubar=no,height=800,width=840,resizable=yes,toolbar=no,lo cation=no,status=no');
}
then on the link just have it go to javascript:load2()
But I have a ton of different links and don't want a bunch of code in the beginning of my pages. Is there a way to make the first part just the dimensions of the new window but then when I actually make the link, I could put where I want it to link to? Like javascript:load2(pictures).
In my page i have to open the popup window when i do on click. one place it is opening correctly. but in another case not able to open.
In the following html code i am able to open the popup window.
<td colspan=2 width=90% background="graphics/barbkg.gif" class=fcCalMonthDay_gren height=16 align=center>
<div id=fcContentLegned style="display:block;"><a href=# onClick="javascript:OZ_openBrWin4('ozLOVNoteCenter.jsp')">Daily Notes Center</a></div>
[Code]....
Here is the link that I am using to open the popup window. It works great except when the $id variable contains a single quote. I have the single quote escaped with a . What am I doing wrong?
<A
HREF='JavaScriptpenPopWin("friend.php?id=<?php echo $id ?>", 550, 400, , 5, 5)'>Tell a Friend</a>
So if the $id variable is productname, it works fine. But if it's product'sname, it stops the link at the slash.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the need to create a popup after a delay. The problem I'm getting is that the parent page is refreshing automatically from the action of creating the popup. I don't want the parent page to refresh!
This is what I currently have:
$popupScript = '
<script language="JavaScript">
setTimeout("window.open('index.php?do=renew','Popup1','toolbar=0, width=500, height=500')",' . $delay . ');
</script>';
The page is in php, so that's why I have it as a string, which I later pass to a template page.
This would simply be:
<script language="JavaScript">
setTimeout("window.open('index.php?do=renew','Popup1','toolbar=0, width=500, height=500')",6000);
</script>
... if it was placed straight into the HTML. Incidentally, it's included into the HTML HEAD area, not the body, as the original source of the script suggested: [URL]
$delay is the delay before the popup opens, in microseconds (so 6000 would be 6 seconds).
What can I do to have the same delayed auto-popup functionality, but without it automatically refreshing the parent page where the above code resides?
As some background to what I'm achieving: The issue with not wanting the parent page to refresh is that each time it does, the login session gets extended. The popup itself (which I already have working ok) provides a 'continue working' function, or close and refresh the parent is nothing has been done after a short period.
I kinda stuck at this point on my php script, it has this javascript code and I stuck there:
Line 16:
echo("<script language="JavaScript">
function openptc(tpge,pnme,w,h){
settings="width=" + w + ",height=" + h + ",scrollbars=yes,location=no,directories=no,status=1,menubar=no,toolbar=no,resizable=no";
window.open(tpge,pnme,settings);
}
//-->
</script>");
Line 72:
print "<td><a href="#" onClick="openptc('./paidtoclick.php?adid=$row[linkid]&action=start&".session_name()."=".session_id()."','PaidtoClickPage','640','480');"><b>Click Here To View</b></a><tr>";
I think those 2 lines actually are my problem. This code makes the site open in a new pop up window. how to make it open in a new tab.
I need to delay a page from opening a new window for a minimum of 5 seconds to allow some php processing (inserting a new record into a table) to occur first. the open window code works fine without the time delay, but as soon as i attempt to put a delay in, nothing happens eg, the page no longer opens a new window called newrecord.php.
A submit button calls the function like so:
Code:
create a link which has an OnMouseOver event, this event should open a popup window (but check first if a previous instance of this popup is open - if so, close it)
the link should also have an OnMouseOut event which would close the perviously opened popup.
Is it possible to create a link to have a window pop up and not have the bar that has the title and minimize/maximize/close icons? If so, how could I do this?
