User And Referral Clicks - Open Link In Same Window
Jan 9, 2009
I have this website that logs users clicks and their referrals clicks. I have graphs for each of these things. I currently have it working that when a user clicks a link on a page, it opens up another page and shows the graph. I want this to be sort of like a "drop down" window when they click. Here is a picture of when the link is not clicked: And when the blue circle (the thing boxed in red) is clicked:
I'm trying to open a div that holds several images when the user clicks on a link. Each clicked link will open the div and display a specific pic. Plus each time a link is clicked the div should close before opening the div with the appropriate pic. Since I'm new to jquery I'm a bit lost on this one.
I want to send a simple email with just email & subject only when the user clicks a link that opens a pdf. I'm thinking javascript is the best way to do this but I have no idea how. I have googled it a bunch but most information is about getting an email when someone clicks a link you send in an email. I don't want that. This is on a website. I'm not sure if php would be better to use.
I'm trying to set up a web page to display a video when a user clicks on a link. So far, it works fine in IE and Chrome, but it won't work in Firefox.[URL]
I am trying to pop-up a window when the user clicks on an image. The problem is that when the user clicks on the image and the window pops up OK, but the window underneath also proceeds to the image. The desired behavior is that when the pop-up is invoked, I want the underlying window to stay put. Code:
When the user clicks the remove link it properly adds a new option to the dropdown however it adds it 3 times meaning 3 option tags. Why is that?
Code: // Add a click handler to each anchor tag in the characterList <ul> element $('#characterList a').click( function(evt) { evt.preventDefault();[code].....
I guess this case applies to both popup windows opened by window.open() and by showModalWindow().
I have two buttons in popup window, "Cancel" and "Save". If the user clicks either button, there is a "process" at parent window before close() at popup being called. The problem now is, if the user click the "X" sign at top right corner of that popup window, how to trigger the "process"?
I think I can do nothing in popup window since the closure is unexpected programmatically. Can I put some kind of listener in parent window to detect if popup is closed?
I have a HTML and I am opening another link in a separate window using window.open() . The child window is something like 'http://yahoo.com' which is out side html. I need to refresh the parent window when the child window is closed.
When a user in somewhere of a site, he/she may want to login to access some user restrict pages. He/she clicks a login link on the menu and sign in on the login page. How to use JQuery to let the user back to the page where he/she clicks the login link?
I want to trap the window.close() event when the user clicks on the close button of the browser using javascript. Can anyone shed light on this problem ?
Below is the code that opens a new window when the user clicks on the button "Click here to see". But the code resides outside the <script></script>. As far as i know javascript codes have to be between these tags to work. How will the "window.open" statement work?
<form> <input type="button" value="Click here to see" onclick="window.open('http://www.yahoo.com')" />
I need a script that will open a new window (popup / new link) in a specific size, but will also close the old window (where the popup came from). I know the popup window is easy but finding a work-able close window script as the new window is opened is impossible!!
i installed a shout box for my users, its integrated by using session username. but what i want to do is have a username list under the shoutbox that shows which members (usernames) have the box open. that way the other members can see someone is out there to see their message.. one alternative would be to just have the shoutbox auto open (which i need to learn how to do) as soon as they sign on to the site, but what if they close it right away i still have the same issue (they cant see the message that someone is sending them) here is how i open the window now, they have to click on the link.
I am facing an issue where a link on my website opens in a new window if you simply click on it. However, if you right click and say open in new window or new tab, it opens the same window (URL) again from where the link is clicked.
Self Service Option is a link and the JSP calls a function getSelfServSite() when the link is clicked. This is how the code flows in my case
function getSelfServSite() { getToTheLink("${myConfigInfo.selfServiceURL}"); // this is because the URL is configurable
[Code].....
I want it to go to the right link no matter how the user click it.
Is there any javascript code that I can use in "window.open" that will pop up a window of whatever the user has set as the default browser window size? (This should be the size of the browser window when they first open it)
Also, any code to go to the user's defined homepage as set up in their browsers preferences?
I need to find a way to open a new _blank type window when a user submits. I have found a few answers but none that fit what i need. alot tell you to use target blank on submit, but i have two buttons that do 2 completely different things. Is there a way to achieve that? here is the code i use!
I need to create an application that will open a popup when the user closes a window. I can do that easily via onUnload event of javascript but the catch is that the popup must open only when we close the window and not when we submit a form or click a link on the page.Actually it is a survey which opens only when one closes the window.
how to make a code like this website (Samsung P1000 Galaxy Tab images ) there you can see the images when you click the image then the browser will open a new page, and when you click the image again the browser will close
