Uncaught TypeError: Cannot Read Property 'myselect' Of Undefined (anonymous Function)?

I have a select box element with id myselect. The select box is in a form called myform. I am sure it is in this form because printing this before where my error is happening prints the correct form:

>> console.log(document.forms[0].id);
myform
I get the error:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot Read Property '$divref' Of Undefined
I have a page which has some content that is generated via an AJAX request and JSON. The content is shown and hidden by clicking on each row using the (Animated Collapsible DIV v2.4 script ). It works fine if I have the page as one static file (which I did for testing) showing the same content the AJAX pulls. But when I display the page with AJAX generated content it comes through and the source code is essentially the same but my show/hide effects are not working. I am getting an error when I troubleshoot using Google Chrome Developer Tools that says: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property '$divref' of undefined. I tried switching the order of the Javascript and HTML to see if that was the problem. But I think it has something to do with the way the page is loading in the AJAX based version. I looked into using the JQuery LiveQuery plugin but I could not figure out how to make it work with my code nor do I know if it is the fix I need anyways.

Ajax :: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot Read Property 'id' Of Undefined
I have a GridPanel that is backed by a DataStore (ExtJS 4). OK, so when the user selects a row and clicks a delete button, I send a POST request to the server with the ID of the selected record, delete the record, and then on return, re-load the data store.The record is deleted successfully, the server returns a status code of OK. But, if the user selects THE LAST ROW of the GridPanel, I get the following error:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'id' of undefined

I have no other events on the Grid Panel or DataStore.Here is my delete code:

function deleteTEDetailExceptions() {
try {
if(tedetailExceptionsEditorGrid.getSelectionModel().selected.length < 1) {
statusMessage("Please select an exception first", true);

JQuery :: Uncaught TypeError - Cannot Read Property Guid Of Undefined
I have the following JQuery code:
$("#menu-247 > a, #menu-213 > a, #menu-214 > a, #menu-215 > a,
#menu-216 > a, #menu-218 > a, #menu-219 > a").addClass("mainLevel");
/*$(".mainLevel").each(function (i) {
$(this).before('<div id="' + $(this).parent().attr("id") + '-behind"> </div>');
$(this).prev().css({
width: $(this).css("width"),
height: $(this).css("height"),
position: "absolute",
top: "0",
left: $(this).parent().css("left"),
zIndex: "5",
display: "none",
backgroundColor: "blue"
});
$(this).css({
position: "relative",
zIndex: "10"
});
});*/
$(".mainLevel").hover(function() {
alert('test');
});

And I receive the error "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'guid' of undefined" in Google Chrome. I thought it had to do with the fact that the event handler was trying to be added before the DOM was modified. But then I tried simply this:
$("#menu-247 > a, #menu-213 > a, #menu-214 > a, #menu-215 > a, #menu-216 > a,
#menu-218 > a, #menu-219 > a").hover(function() {
alert('test');
});

And still received the error. I removed all the "> a" so I simply had a list of ids and the error was still there. Even when I only have one id listed, the error comes up! It also seems to be any element. But if I just try the alert part, everything works.

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot Read Property 'nodeName' Of Undefined - Line 29
I have an XML file in the following structure.

<NewDataSet>
<markers>
<name>name text</name>

[code]....

I'm just trying to parse this data. Works fine in IE6 (no choice with that) and it alerts the data correctly. However when I load the same page in Chrome is tells me:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'nodeName' of undefined - line 29

I'm using identical files, so may be there is an underlying problem I just can't see.

Facebook App Request: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot Read Property 'frictionless_value' Of Undefined
I have a very simple code in javascript/jquery to allow a user to send a facebook app request to other friends. It works just fine if the user sends any requests, but fails miserably if the user closes the window without sending anything. The error message is posted in the title. It did not happen before.

The relevant part of the code is:

FB.ui({method: 'apprequests', message: msg, title: title, data: from_data}, function (response) {
if (response && response.request_ids) {
$.post("games", {action:"sentRequests", requestIds:JSON.stringify(response.request_ids)}, function () {
//store the app requests in the server.

[Code]...

The alert never happens, so I believe it's the way I'm handling the undefined response. Any ideas?

PS: replacing the condition for if (response !== undefined) does not work either.

Uncaught TypeError : Cannot Read Property 'fancybox' Of Undefined - Google Chrome Only Error?
I'm using fancybox to display an iframe and close it upon clicking a button. This is only for testing purposes. The closing function works on IE and FF but not on Chrome.

<title>Test</title>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="fancybox/jquery.fancybox-1.3.4.pack.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="fancybox/jquery.fancybox-1.3.4.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />[code]....

I've also tried "javascript:window.parent.$.fancybox.close();" instead. I can't ask in google groups (where fancybox's forum is located) because for some reason it's blocked on campus.

JQuery :: Extract Data From JSON - Uncaught TypeError: Cannot Read Property 'cost' Of Undefined
I have the following JSON feed:

I am trying to extract the cost of a particular moulding using jQuery .getJSON. My jQuery code is as follows:

$.getJSON( '/calculate_quote/2,6,4.json', function (data) {
alert(data.mouldings.moulding_id_2.cost);
});

When this runs I get the following error: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'cost' of undefined

JQuery :: Error "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot Read Property 'cycleW' Of Undefined" Including Two Cycle Plugins In Same Script?
I have two instances of the jQuery Cycle plugin on the same page. Used in isolation, they both work fine. Used together, I get an error which stops them working. I don't see how I can use an each() function, seeing as the options are different for the two instances.

[Code]....

The Javascript console error message shows: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'cycleW' of undefined When used together, the first one works OK but the second throws the error. If used alone, the second works fine. How can I get the two instances of jQuery Cycle to play nice?

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot Set Property 'src' Of Undefined
I have the following javascript code, which is doing an image rotation on a website I'm working on. It works correctly in Firefox, but not in Chrome or Safari. When I run the script console in firebug, it doesn't find an error, but when I run the script console in Chrome, it comes back with the error: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set property 'src' of undefined the error is at line38, near the bottom, document[place].src = new_image(); I'm new to understanding javascript, although I've used various scripts for quite a while. I would like to know whats happening thats causing the script to not work, and what I could do to make it work.

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot Set Property 'position' Of Undefined
I have this code giving me the strange error message Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set property 'position' of undefined This is the inside of a jQuery plugin to show a google map in a popup. I was using the code somewhere else, where it worked fine - the only difference here seems to be that I'm now using it in a Popup window. Am I missing a scope issue or something? All the variables like geocoderParams and latlng are filled like they should. Googling the the error message turned up nothing valuable. The error message gets fired when the google.maps.Map() is called.

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot Read Property 'classList' Of Null
This error does not happen in Firefox 4.0 or Internet Explorer 8+.I create a new empty tab, and open console (Ctrl+Shift+I and then Esc) and paste the following codes:

var cnt = 0;
(function() {document.body.innerHTML = cnt;window.setTimeout(arguments.callee,100);})();
(function(){cnt++;window.setTimeout(arguments.callee,0);})();

Sometimes there is an error at this point but not always.After this I paste more:

(function(){cnt++;window.setTimeout(arguments.callee,0);})();

After ~30sec I get any of these errors:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'offsetHeight' of null
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'classList' of null

UPDATE:This error happens when I switch between my opened tabs, but also randomly.

Uncaught TypeError / Cannot Read Property 'length' Of Null
I'm having a problem with an ajax script that checks postcodes against a region table in the database to find which area the postcode relates to, then updates the region select list with this information.There's nothing wrong with the ajax scripting at all, because it works from another page just fine. A particular page (in an admin area I can't give access to) is having problems and my debugger says "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'length' of null" when the call to the remote script is triggered.I'm baffled by it, because I'm clueless as to what it's suggesting is null. I understand what it's saying, that it can't read the length of null, obviously, but I can't see what it could be that's null. It may be being given an empty string, but an empty string doesn't trigger this error on the other pages, and an empty string isn't null.

The alert() message works but the Uncaught TypeError is thrown when it reaches the next line. Can anyone explain to me why and how to fix it? I assume it is something to do with the scoping of the function as it will work if nested within the myDiv rather than the linked .js file.
