I found this Javascript - it can make a slideshow with transitions, but it starts over from the beginning when it reaches the end. Is it possible to re-code the script, so it won't repeat but just stay at the last picture at the end?
This code after remove, repeat value removed. If not want repeat value removed, show a value norepeatvalue, what do I do? $('span b').live('click', function () { $('<p>' + $(this).parent().text().substr(1) + '</p>').appendTo('.list_name'); $(this).parent().remove(); }); $('.list_name p').live('click', function () { $('<span><b>x</b>' + this.innerHTML + '</span>').insertBefore('#auto_box input'); $(this).remove(); }).live('mouseover', function () { $('.highlight').removeClass('highlight'); $(this).addClass('highlight'); });
How do I get a function to repeat itself an unspecifiednumber of times?BACKGROUND: I have created a digital clock with which I verysatisfied except for one shortcoming: it displays only once and stopsticking. The only way to keep track of the time is to refresh thepage. I have introduced the setInterval( ) function in a variety ofways to compel JSClock() to repeat itself, but to no avail.SOURCE CODE:
(function($) { $.fn.JSClock = function() { var today=new Date();
I have a problem. This is my javascript code to generate of 10 next numbers around range when user will click [code]...
How to do so that when the user still is keeping the pressed key the function repeats itself? Must I use mousedown event? If so it in what way to stop repeating the function after letting go of the key?
i want to remove the<h3> and <p> tags from the code. bcause i dont need them and they r incresing the height of my <td> containig the code. if i m deleting the above tags the slideshow is not working.
I am trying to adapt the addSlide demo 5 [URL] but instead of using buttons created by css I wish to use images.
So I'm largely okay with that, have found the #nav container and defined my background-image images but these are overwritten by textual digits and I'm not sure where these are generated from. Most likely something in my main.js file though I can't figure out what exactly. I'm using cycle as follows:
$(function() { var stack = []; // preload images into an array for (var i = 3; i < 5; i++) {
I am new in web development. I think this problem is related to javascript, I have write script which will change images after 2sec, through setInterval function. Script is as follows.
<script> var images = new Array ("img/1.jpg", "img/2.jpg", "img/3.jpg"); var currentIndex = 0; function Start(){ setInterval("ChangeImage()", 2000); }function ChangeImage(){ currentIndex++; if(currentIndex == images.length){ currentIndex = 0; } document.images[0].src = images[currentIndex]; } </script>
But when I place in img tag which is in third row div and reload page, these series of images show in first row div. It does not show where I have specified area for it in css.
First row div: <div id="menu"> <img src="header/menu.png" name="menuImg"/> </div> My series of images show in this div when I load page.
I have found a jquery plugin that does exactly what I want it to do except for one thing. It doesnt display a text description underneath the full size image.
I am using a simple slideshow script. I have a div on top of the image that contains text. I'd like the slide to forward to the next slide in the slideshow when the user clicks on that div (#slideshow-caption). Here's the code with the .click call. If you see anything else funky with the script, let me know.
function slideShow(speed) { //append a LI item to the UL list for displaying caption $j('ul.slideshow').append('<li id="slideshow-caption" class="caption"><div class="slideshow-caption-container"><h3></h3><p></p></div></li>');
I'm very new at this. I'm using jquery within wordpress and I've created an image slideshow with captions. It worked fine. Now I want to include a slide counter. I followed the example here as best I could: [URL]...
This is the code I have:
<script type="text/javascript"> var $j = jQuery.noConflict(); $j(document).ready(function() { $j('#ng_slideshow').cycle({
In my website I have a slideshow that is working properly with this jQuery code: Code: $(function(){$('.fadein img:gt(0)').hide(); setInterval(function(){ $('.fadein :first-child').fadeOut(2000) .next('img').fadeIn(2000) .end().appendTo('.fadein');}, 5000); });
In another page I call one HTML file by the function .load with some imgs sources exactly as I have in my main page slideshow that is working well. The problem is that this last slideshow (that I call the images with the .load function) is not working properly as you can see here (too hard to explain, better just see, 1st thumbnail). I call the HTML file with this code: Code: $('#hab_ab').click(function(){ $('#target').removeClass('thumbs').load('slideshows/arq/hab/boavista/ab_ss.html'); I use .removeClass because of the positioning...
Below is my code which I am using to remove a div tag. I also want the script to add the same div tag later once certain conditions are meet. The div has some preloaded content too which I don't want to loose. I tried the add() function but it did not work for me. I even don't think append will work as I want to original div to reappear.
So Im trying to create a slideshow with thumbnails the user can scroll through and use to navigate the slideshow. I'm a big fan of cycle so I wanted to use that as my main slideshow component and was planning on using jcarousel for the pager. So far it works great in Firefox, Chrome, and Safari, yet in IE the thumbnails are not loading. I'm guessing it has something to do with how the images in the pager are generated and then jcarousel just isnt proccessing that in IE but I 'm not sure. I feel like I'm very close to getting this slideshow to work, yet I need to figure out why it is failing in IE.
I am using a simple prototype slideshow and a more comprehensive jquery slideshow on my website.When these are used on the same webpage on my website there appears to be a collision: (For example)Code:element.attachEvent is not a function[Break on this error] element.attachEvent("on" + actualEventName, responder); How can I avoid the conflict without reverting to a new slideshow?
It is possible to remove a function from the memory? I have a custom function that I call usingmodul.StepGuide.init() - but how do I remove that function with all its vars and events, from the memory.
just one question.I want to remove the div within ready function. I'm using $("noJS").remove(); script, but it only hides the div (when I check the site's code, that div is still there).
my script that works in firefox/opera like a charm, but doesn't so in IE8.
Here we go:
$(document).ready(function(){ $(".folder").live('click',function(){ var id = $(this).attr("id"); if($('#' + id).hasClass('folderClosed')){
[Code].....
The basic idea is to show a "virtual" directorie from a mysql database over json. The first part works also quit well, only the .remove() function doesn't work right, which means the sub <ul> elements remaining on the page.
I am having difficulties to deal with a simple remove function.
I have an item list with "listitem" css class. I placed a button on each item to delete it. I am now trying to use the remove function to erase it from the page. I thought $(this).remove(); will work but it doesn't. I also tried something like this: $(this).parent('.listitem').remove(); but it didn't work.
When I write $('.listitem').remove(); it erased all the items of the list. I m just trying to be able to erase just the one clicked.
Im in need of a function that can first change all <br> tags to simple line breaks (also probably the same for <p> tags). Then I need it to strip out all HTML tags. Then I also need it to replace " " with simple spaces.Ive been looking around and have somethings working. Ie, I can get rid of all the HTML tags. But not sure how to replace the indivdual <br>'s and 's.
