Showing The Picture An User Just Picked?

Aug 9, 2010

Our webform has a file upload, and just a regular picture box on it. Now we already have the code to save the pictures and retrieve them, but how would you display the picture they selected without first saving it, then refreshing the page and displaying it? Is this a javascript thing?

Picked Up HTML And CSS, And Am Getting To Grips Really Quickly?

Aug 13, 2011

I've recently picked up HTML and CSS, and am getting to grips really quickly. The principles are really straight forward, you just need to understand a few key principles and then with practice you can remember most tags/elements/attributes etc, although I would rather have the understanding rather then not have the understanding and remember all the tags (I can remember most tags I need anyway. So PHP and Javascript are obviously the next ports of call once I feel I am proficient with HTML and CSS.How hard is it to understand the principles of Javascript and become effective in it?

Preview Of Image Picked For Upload

Sep 22, 2010

I have a form where visitors can upload an image. Rather than showing the form data and image again with a "are you sure you want to upload this stuff" button, I thought it would be neat to show a preview of the image next to the "browse" button after they indicate which image they want to upload. I'm guessing this is not possible given the image is on their systems?.?.

JQuery :: Datepicker.ui - Validate Plugin -- Triggers 'invalid' When Date 1st Picked

Jul 23, 2010

I'm using the datepicker.ui in a form that also uses the validate plugin. The form happens to use the accordion functionality found here, but I've also tested this in a simpler form that uses the standard syntax for both scripts.

When the user initially picks a date using the datepicker, validate runs and flags the input as invalid, even 'though the field isvalid. choosing another date, or choosing the date a second time, sets the field to valid.

Put A Caption Under A Picture?

I have been trying for several days now to append a text caption to a displayed image using Javascript, but with no real success. Perhaps JS is not the best way. Has anyone a suggestion as to the best way to tackle this.

I want to replace the image captions with text ones to help speed up the site. It is my home site here [URL].

A modification of the existing code seems obvious, but I have been unable to do this.
