AJAX :: Scroll Div And Site Position - Set The View On The Div After Content Is Loaded?
Jun 29, 2010I have scroll div on the buttom of my page. This div is autoloaded after pressing link via AJAX technology. Everything is ok except position of the web. Right after I press link the view of the page is going to the top. How I could set the view on the div after AJAX content is loaded.

Nov 15, 2010Im having a bit of an issue with a website im building for a band.The band want a site that is 2500 width so that when the page loads you can either scroll right or left to view the out of screen material...i cant find a way of the page loading centered...it is always loading to the far left and all i can do is scroll right...i have uploaded the site to http:[url].... for you to have a look at so you see what i mean.I origionally posted this thread in the CSS forum but was instructed this would be a Javascript issue.

i've got a multi-language site, where the home-page of each language group
features a link to a popup window that offers background info on site
management. the popup is fired by a javascript function, when they click
the site management link. there's also a "window close" function button so
they can nuke it as they please.
now, oddly, people who search for my site in the chinese language on google,
are sent directly to the site management popup window, which of course,
opens in their "full" browser window, and which also has no links back to
the main site, because it's meant to open only as an "accessory" to the main
site.
my question is this: is there any way, with Javascript, that I could
determine if they arrived at this window from "off-site" (ie, a google
search), and therefore offer such "off-site" visitors a link back to the
principal site, a link that would be hidden for visitors who clicked the
popup window from my own site?
Posting Data From A Form On My Site To A Form On Someone Else's Site:
Feb 25, 2006Basically, I registered for a free board at one of the various sites because my server doesn't support .cgi scripts. I want to know if there is a way to have the data from a form on my site post to the board site -A user would fill in my form, click submit, and a new post would appear on the board site -as if they had entered it there.
If you can point me in the right direction, I would be grateful. Here is my thinking.
A) I can't locate the script that they use to perform a "submit"; so I thought I might enter their <head> data (as far as xmlns, href, etc) in my <head>; that my website might call up their script files, css sheets, etc.
B)I could code my own Javascript function to send my form data to their site. If I knew how to simulate a mouseclick on someone else's site, I could have the script "click" there, paste the data, and hit the submit button. But I don't.
C) I could size their site down to the form itself and put it in a frame on my page
Option C is clearly easier, but I would prefer option A or B. I have time and will happily do the research myself; provided that I know if approach A or B is even feasible.

I have found this that works on a textarea:

But this doesn't work on a div. I am using a div because the text I am displaying contains HTML. Surely it is possible to simply set a scroll bar to the bottom in a div?

box. If i press the button "MOVE DOWN", it will go to the bottom of the
select box.
The selected values that the user select will still be selected, even
if i press up or down.
It works in firefox....but not IE ? coz the scrollTop does not work in

it to behave as only visible content is to be scrolled (not empty space). The same applies to print (window.print). It prints not only what is visible, but also empty pages for these div's which are not visible.
