View 8 Repliesso I've got this page with the following iframe: <iframe src="http://test.page.local/promo/" height="350" width="214" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe> And within the framed page, a list of links, a sample of which looks like this: <li><a href="http://www.test.com/johnny-be-good/" target="_blank">Johnny's been good</a></li> yet when I click the links, the page loads within the iframe. The target is set to open a new tab or window, yet the links refuse to do so. I've tried _blank, _top, _parent, and resorted to hijacking the links with JavaScript (which seems to me to be overkill) and nothing works. I know this can't be hard, but its driving me nuts.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAlright I have an Iframe, and at the end of that Iframe I have set a variable with JS to be equal to TRUE, indicating that the page has run through the script. I then check that the iframe from the parent window for that variable, if it has not been set yet (or does not equal true) it reloads the iframe.
The code works fine FF and Opera. However in IE it does not reload the frame if it is not true, and in Chrome it alerts undefined and does not reload the frame I have tried accessing the frame through the dom and it did not work for me, and i have also tried simply adding a tail to the iframes source with no success. :confused:

I have a HTML and I am opening another link in a separate window using window.open() . The child window is something like 'http://yahoo.com' which is out side html. I need to refresh the parent window when the child window is closed.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have this code in a page that appears in my iframe if requested from parent:
<script type="text/javascript">
parent.rrr();
</script>
The parent code is:
function rrr() {
javascript:location.reload(true);
}
So, the person clicks a link from the parent, it does a php process in a hidden iframe, which then tells the parent page to refresh. The only problem is that it puts Firefox in a constant loop of refreshing. IE and Chrome work fine. They refresh once and stop.
Though the src code opens the iframe like so: <iframe src="" style="display:none; height:1px;" name="hdplus" id="hdplus"></iframe> Firefox seems to refresh the page with the memory of the child page being in the iframe, constantly looping the child request to refresh the parent.
Why won't Firefox just accept that no page should load in the iframe, as stated in the code? I need to stop this loop, which means I need to get firefox to reset the iframe as it reloads the page.
I have a popup window which has the search form in. What I want to do is for the popup window to close once the form is submitted, and to post the form data to a page on the main window.
Is anyone able to advise. As the main page is dynamic, it is not possible to give the page a name.
I have a page A and inside it I have an iframe B. B points to another php file that shows a form (so basically in the iframe we see a form). When I submit the form, I call to another page C that verifies the fields of the form and if they are ok I redirect to page X, if not I redirect to page Y. The problem is that I see page X and Y inside the iframe, and I want to see them in the parent page.

I am looking to have a link open a closeable window that is contained within a browser window. If you click on the "sizing charts" link on this website, this is exactly what I am looking to do:

The window is contained within the current browser window, it can be dragged around, but not outside the parameters of the browser window.
We have a page which contains an iFrame. The page which contains the iFrame opens up half way down and not at the top.
is there a way in css to open up the page at the top?
This is the code which calls the iFrame:
Code:
<iframe src="Page1.aspx#myAnchor" width="975" height="180">
If I remove the #myAnchor from the url - it does work ok. But we want the anchor tag there to open up the iFrame window at that point.
(Its the parent page which we need to open up at the top).
I have a site where one of the links I have set up to open a pop up window which will display Terms & Agreement information, at the bottom there is a check box and a submit button for users to click on if they agree to the terms. I was able to get that working but the thing is when the user clicks in the check box and hits submit I want them to be directed to a page which has a form on it but I wanted the page to open in the original (Parent) window. This is where I am lost cause I found some coding which will open the page with the form in the pop up window but Ideally once they agree to terms and hit submit I'd like the pop up window to disappear and the new page open in the Parent window... is this possible below is the coding I'm using.
Here is the form:
<form method="get" action="this is where my link will go" onsubmit="return yes_no(this.form) " name="Agree">
<INPUT name="agree" name="agree" value="agree" type="checkbox"> I agree to terms
<input type="submit" name="submit" value="Accept Terms">

I am having difficulty in opening a link in an Iframe. If I explain, I have four pages
-Page 1 containing the Iframe
-Page 2 containing a series of thumbnails that opens in Iframe on page 1
-Page 3 is the larger image that opens in the Iframe on page 1 after clicking the thumbnail on page 2
-Page 4 is a page with a linking menu that has a link to page 3
The task I am struggling with is to get the link on page 4 to open the larger image of page 3 in the Iframe on page 1. Now I maybe doing something wrong but the code is opening page 2 in the Iframe on page 1. Below are the links to the pages in question.
Page 1 Art for Sale - Bertram Enterprises
Page 2 Bertram Enterprises Collection_Ver2
Page 3 [URL]
Page 4 Jenni Dutton - Bertram Enterprises link near bottom of page - Art for Sale
I wish to use this on many more of the images.
I am using the following code to display an image in a seperate
window.
<form>
<input type=button
onClick='window.open("image1.jpg","","width=260,height=260,resizable=0,border=0")'
value=Shhow Picture'>
</form>
I want the window to be the exact size of the image so I set the width
and height of the window the same as the width & height of the image.
The code works, however there is a white border on the top and left
side of the image. If I add 20 to the width and height of the window
then there is a white border around the whole image.
Is there anyway to have the window the exact size of the image,
without this white border? I know there is probably a simple solution,
but I'm a beginner at JavaScript.
I have a form on a page and when the form is submitted it should open a
new window and post the content to it.
When the script being posted to is a html page, then this works fine,
but when the script being posted to produces an svg graphic, then there
is no 'view source'. Its almost as though the opened page headers are
already set for html and doesn't like the svg xml schema.
Here is the code:
document.report.action="graphic_rpt.cfm?RequestTimeout=700";
var mywin;
if ( !mywin || mywin.closed )
{
mywin =
window.open(mycgi,'view_report','width='+mywidth+' ,height=425,top=50,left=0,scrollbars=yes,toolbar=y es,resizable=yes');}
}
document.report.target = 'view_report'
document.report.method = 'post'
document.report.submit();
mywin.focus();
I am confused as to why a window will not open if i include certain code. if i use code...
