Linked Fullsize Image Not Showing Up In Preview Area

I am working in Dreamweaver CS4 with both HTML and Javascript. I created a preview area and some thumbnails beneath. Each thumbnail is linked to a full size image. So far, so good. I'm attempting to follow a Javascript tutorial to make a lightbox. I added CSS rules and the javascript code (below) in the hopes of having my thumbnail show the image in the clickable preview area when hovering. However, my fullsize image does not display in the preview area. Interestingly, when I hover over the preview, I see at the bottom of my browser that it is still linked, just not displaying. The preview area is blank.

I've create a jquery accordian using the code provided in the main accordian page. It all works brilliantly, except when I try to show an image that will link to another page, the image does not show.
For example, In one of the accordion content areas, the code shows:

There isn't even a broken image that shows where the image should be. What code do I need to add to allow images to be inside the content area of accordions?

I got some javascript code going that is working fine swopping my images. The way it works is that the user clicks in the boxes to indicate their skill level and that info gets sent with the submission of the form (hence the checkboxes). At the moment the checkboxes themselves are visible but that is just to indicate to me that it is working. I will hide them later. Attached are my images. What I need is a more sleeker and clever way to work the JS. I was thinking of a loop but not sure how to implement it.

I want to have a main image in place and when you click on 1 of the 3 frame options the frame changes showing a preview. Also I would like the add to cart button change its code to add the correct item as well.

I am brand new to JQuery but love it already. I have a couple of questions about a image effect I have found on a site and have used in my website. Is there anyway to add a per-loader into the jquery while theimage loads as the images I am using are larger then what the person that made used and the images are taking a little while to load. and also when you click the image it takes you to a new page with just the image on it is there a way to stop it from doing that?

I am very new to javascript and have only just started looking into it after working quite a bit in html, css and php.I have a working image banner on my webpage that switches between 1 of 2 images every 7 seconds. This all works fine but i now need to make the second image 'pcm2.jpg' a clickable link where as the first image 'pcm.jpg' which starts off the image rotation in the html page has no link. I have tried using 'document. rollbanner.href =' inside the function but that hasn't helped. Is that because the first image in the html page has no href value to begin with? If so how do i get around this as i dont want the first image to have a link, only the second one.

I have a form where visitors can upload an image. Rather than showing the form data and image again with a "are you sure you want to upload this stuff" button, I thought it would be neat to show a preview of the image next to the "browse" button after they indicate which image they want to upload. I'm guessing this is not possible given the image is on their systems?.?.

I have images on my website that I want to enlarge when the user mouses over them - but to be as smooth as this example and actually displays over top of the content as opposed to making the content move and resize. I am sure that I could build this from scratch, but really do not have time and why invent the wheel if I do not have to!

I wanted to do an Ajax script to resize and preview and image in an html form. Well, I didn't find how to do with Ajax, so I had to use php.The issue is that JavaScript cannot manage a file field to get the selected file and send it via Ajax. The only way to send a file is submitting a form. To not send all data of the form, the file field must be a separate form from the rest of the data. So it can be automatically sent to a php script, which resizes the image, uploads it and then can display it in a iframe without reloading the page.
Then you have the resized image previewed in the form without submitting all data. And then you can send all data with Ajax, including the path of the previously uploaded image, which is stored as a variable in the iframe.I use one html file and two php scripts, which in total are less than 20 KB.

Before image upload I want users to preview their choice. For some reason JS doesn't work with all browsers except FF.When a user selects file, JS preview function should insert it into #addPreview div where preview.gif is located as a default picture. If everything goes OK preview.gif is replaced with new selected file. Otherwise wrong size or file type is detected. Alert message appears in #addPreviewAlert div.Here's my code:

Tell me why Firefox works as desired, but all other browsers don't allow any preview. They don't show any JS error messages and alerts either.

I tried the script below in IE 6, 7, and 8 and it all seems to work, but it doesn't work with firefox 3. I'm trying to do a preview to an upload image, pretty much like how kijiji does it. (try it with kijiji if you want to know what I mean).This script shows a thumbnail of the image that is about to be uploaded before the form is submitted.Anybody know how to make this work in all browsers?

I so far have a scrollable image gallery of some thumbnails, I now wish to be able to click on the thumbnails and it load the corresponding full sized image with the website and everything else behind it being darkened/dimmed.the xhtml is structured like this so far, with no links to the full size images

I am trying to put together a purse shopping site - I would like to have the various views of the same purse in thumbnails under one image then when the customer clicks on the thumbnail the larger image will go into the viewing area. The general layout is like this page - [URL] So when someone clicks on the smallest image I would like it to replace the other image on the page and the larger image becomes the thumbnail. How is this accomplished?

i have the following problem: a Joomla Gallery uses a javascript to show fullsize images.but when the popup windows comes out, it doesn't have any properties (page title, url about:blank, blank background etc) think the following to be the code that calls the popup: what's wrong?NOTE I already had to remove some "spaces" from the code because the Joomla SEF was changing the urls forbidding the right execution of everything, maybe it's something like that... dunno :cry:

I am trying to incorporate Lightbox2's image gallery script into my site but I'm having difficulty.Here's where I'm accessing the script from: http:[url]....
The image thumbs are showing up but the larger images are not. I changed the 'body onload' html tag to window.onload as I'm using two different javascripts on this page and I don't want them to conflict.I've also added initLightbox() so I don't know what's wrong! Is there just an issue with the images or is there something wrong with the script.

I have a mapped image and I want to change mapped parts of the image. For example when I get a cursor over one area the image in that area would change for another (the same size of course). Or for example I have mapped solar system and after clicking one of the planet the planet will change color (so the image will be switched just in that area).

I want to build a script that will essentially allow me to generate coordinates for an image map.For example:You open the page and have a specific image on the page that you want to use the image map for.You Click on a spot on the image and drag to make a square, then release the mouse button. Below the image, the coordinates for an image map will be displayed in a text field or whatever. You can simply copy and past into your code.(It's actually going to be a integral part of a larger management app, but If I can this down in and of itself, I can integrate it into the rest of the app easily.)
Now I was thinking I could just get the start and end coordinates of the mouse cursor (mousedown and mouseup) and then calculate appropriate image map coordinates from that. However there are a few snags and I'm not that fluent in javascript. I really know know what racecourses I have available. I also don't really know what to call the concept so searching in google is a piece by piece process.

I need to restrict an area on the image but also get the coordinates from the image. I am using a form element "input type=image" so I can get the X Y coordinates from an image. I don't want the user clicking on a whole image, in this case a map of a country. I don't want the users clicking off the country's borders in to another country and I want to be able to get the coordinates from inside the country. I have tried to mix the element from the form with the area shape so when someone will click on the image it will first verify if it's over the hotspot and if it's over the poly coords then it will allow the user to click, the form will submit and the coordinates will be stored into the database.
I just don't know how I could integrate javascript into this. This is my code, not really something functional, the coordinates will pass on to the next page as a variable but limiting the area where the users may click is something that I have not figured out. I can create an area shape but without getting the coordinates from the image. Anything will do, even without <input type=image , if there is some way around this so I can make this work.
