Javascript And Struts Submit Action Lookup Dispatcher Problem

Jul 23, 2005

document.forms[0].action='/search.do?&submitaction=Add Minus'
document.forms[0].submit();

since i am working on struts then submitaction maps to through the
action dispatcher.

so where the action is mapperd as Add Minus it goes as Add%20%Minus because of the way i submitted. Is there any way i can make it go as Add Minus....

Change Action From Submit To ImageField?

Jan 4, 2010

I found this free script that I want to use on my order form (disables order button until agreed to terms by clicking checkbox). It is working, but I would like to use an image.gif-button instead of a Submit-button.

Would be grateful if someone could explain how to change in the script from "disable Submit-button"-action to "disable image.gif-button"-action. I've tried to do it myself, but I don't know much about Javascript, and couldn't get it to work.

My 2nd question: Can this type of action only be done in Javascript, or could there be a solution whereby the checkbox on the html-page calls a php-page to get the same type of validation?

The script:
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
<title>Checkbox Form Validation</title>
<script type="text/javascript">

Submit Button Action Based On Different Conditions?

Mar 16, 2011

I want my submit button to link to different pages, based on the value of a particular variable (let's call it total).

So, if 18 < total < 20, the submit button should redirect to page1.html
If 16 < total < 18, the submit button should redirect to page2.html
If 14 < total < 16, the submit button should redirect to page3.html

I have created page1.html, page2.html....page10.html. how should I link my submit button (I have only *one* submit button) to different pages based on different conditions?

Multiple Action Of Button Submit (bypass Popup Blockers)?

Sep 26, 2009

I dont know much about the functionality on what causes some popups to trigger a browsers blocker and some not to.

Situation: I have an account information page (where users can edit their account details) one of the fields the user can edit comes at a cost. For billing I am using a 3rd party billing portal (standard form action pointing to the service & value is passed via post variable)

-user hits submit (not on the 3rd party billing form, my fake ajax button)a service is selected that cost $1 (lets say)verification DB is updated (no page reload)value field is updated in the 3rd party billing form to reflect the additional service I then initiate the form submit on the 3rd party billing form into a popup window I do not want to user to leave the site, I want the $1 billing window to pop up, they take care of it then close the window returning back to the site. In order to get the form to popup in a window I set the forms target to the popup window:

Code:
window.open("", paysys, "width=760,height=550"); functionality everything is working perfect, except most browsers catch the popped up window in their popup blockers. Anyone know how I can create a popup that isnt flagged by the browsers?

JQuery :: Enabling Disabled Submit Button On Browser's Back Action?

Feb 3, 2010

when the following code is used in my JSP page:

$('#myForm').bind('submit', function() {
$('#submit').attr('disabled', 'disabled');
});

it disables the submit button when my form is submitted (IDs are used). This action displays a result page. If the browser's Back button is pressed to change some of entered items, the submit button in Firefox is still disabled, while the same action in MSIE8 enables it again. I don't know if this is exactly JavaScript/browser/chache issue, how to get the submit button enabled 'automatically' Unfortunately the refresh button in Firefox doesn't help either (probably JSP issue) - I have to press Enter on the address bar which is not very obvious for every user.

So if I have a form bean with 2 string properties, such as str1 and

JQuery :: Lookup A Value In A Treeview (popup)

Jan 28, 2011

I develop a trouble ticket system. The ticket type is hierarchical (the nesting can be as deep as you want). Up to 500 tickets types exist at present.

Up not now I have an old fashioned pop up if you want to set the ticket type (without ajax). It takes quite long for the popup window to appear.

The server side is not problem, I am familiar with python, django and postgres. But JS is not my strength.

how to make this easy. Some users use this (alter ticket type) several hundred times a day!

Maybe it would be best, to have both: a popup window for mouse users and a auto completion field for people who prefer to type.

Ajax :: Autocomplete Two Variable Lookup?

I'm not familiar with javascript/ajax. I'm more in the PHP/Mysql section.I'm using an ajax auto complete function found online to look up a value and return results.By default the INPUT FORM sends the variable "inputString" to the javascript that sends the variable "queryString" to the PHP query.What I would like to do is send two variables, instead of only "inputString".As you can see from the above PHP Query I am trying to select WHERE $queryString AND $os Querystring is being sent to the PHP query, but how do I send the second variable?

Javascript Submit Problem : Form Won't Submit

Jul 23, 2005

So, here's my problem :

I've created a table in my document, presenting a list of items, one
can 'select' by clicking on it... (Kinda like a menu, you make your
choice from) But since this table can get very long, I've put
something of a 'search-form' on top, which enables the user to make a
selection of products from the list.

Now, the form uses a "post" method, and submits to itself, using the
form action. Some PHP script will make sure that the form is filled
out already, the next time it's presented.

The table, containing a list of products is presented, below the form.
When a user clicks on a product, the product should be "selected". At
first i just used a <a href="zoeken.php?prod_id=24"> link to do this,
but the problem is that my form won't remain in tact.

So now, the global idea is to submit the form after setting a hidden
form-field using JavaScript, using a onClick event.

Here's my code :

Changing The Action Of A Form With An Input Named Action?

Feb 16, 2009

I have come across a very interesting problem that seems to be impossible to solve. Basically a web application that I am working on relies on a JavaScript function called go to change the input named view to the page name and submit the form. This form's type is post, so no values are included in the actual URL string. There is also another input called action and it's value is view. This is to tell the application that the user would like to view a page. The problem is because of the variables being of method post, page refreshes and back and forwards return errors because the post variables view and action aren't sent with the required data. To somewhat solve this problem I have created a feature that tells the application that if the post value page is empty then to try and get a GET var called page. To insert this var into the go javascript function I simple add this code

document.go.action = document.go.action+"&page="+page;

This line basically adds &page=[page] to the action of the form. The problem is, this code doesn't work because action is also the name of a form element. Referencing document.go.action refers to the input element named action and not to the form's action. Changing the named of the action input value is out of the question (Way to much changing of code, and possible room for error). What can I do to change the action of the form without referencing the input named action. Here is my go form and the JavaScript code:

<form name="go" action"index.php?sid=123" method="post">
<input type="hidden" name="action" value="view" />
<input type="hidden" name="view" value="" />
</form>

Javascript OnLoad Error "Object Doesn't Support This Action"

I have the following script in an html page:

function goToPosition()
{
varGoTo = document.write(document.cookie("Position"));
document.scrollTo(0, varGoTo);
}
</head>
<body

When I put the in, I get the error message
"object doesn't support this action". I've also tried putting in after
the </body> tag as another script...no go.

I'm setting the cookie with these lines in another function:
varScroll = document.body.scrollTop;document.cookie("Position") =
varScroll;

Any clues/suggestions greatly appreciated. I recently posted a similar

Hex To An Image Lookup - Convert The Hex Code Into An Image Containing The Selected Colour?

May 1, 2009

how I can get this lookup to work..:?I'm using a app that uploads an image and returns a hex code in a 3x3 grid. (See here: http://jrm.cc/color-palette-generator) I want to take this one stage further and have a code that will then take the Hex code and look up a field in an sql database containing hex codes. Then convert the hex code into an image containing the selected colour. For example;

User uploads image of the sky

App returns hex codes of sky

App then needs to look in a field database of images on server and finds image/s with similar hex value

App then returns images in replace of the hex code (i.e blue water, swimming pool, blue coloured hat etc etc)
