JQuery :: Auto-Navigate With Zoom-in And Zoom-out Google Maps?

Nov 4, 2010

On google maps I have several hundred markers for different countries and cities across the globe. It is just not practical to navigate through several hundred markers therefore I would like my browser to auto navigate to predefined multiple latitudes and longtitudes or cities, once the navigation for predefined cities completes, the navigation loop carries on. Also for certain cities or latitude / longitude can we set zoom level so when the browser is auto navigating it zooms in and zooms out for predefined cities. Is this possible, here is the code that I am using.

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<title/>Apache-Geo-Map Example</title>
<script src="http://maps.google.com/maps?file=api&v=2&key=<my-api-key>"

[Code].....

I can see several hundred markers on the map, rather than navigating between each marker I would like my browser to auto navigate through predefined cities with auto zoom in and zoom out values.

JQuery :: Lost Page State After Pressing Back Button?

May 22, 2010

I have a page where a user can progressively download more thumbnail images. New thumbnails are loaded using '$.get' followed by an 'append' to the main thumbnail container. If a user clicks on a thumbnail then they link to another page to see the full size image. If the user then presses the back button, the page of thumbnails has returned to its initial state. I was hoping that all the additionally downloaded thumbnails would remain in memory! Is there a way around this? Keeping track of any additional thumbnails that have been downloaded when navigating the to the full size image page and then re-loading them when the user returns to the thumbnails page is not really an option as I don't want the user having to wait for this. This is what facebook appears to do after one has loaded lots of additional items on their news feed - if one links to another page and hits the back button, my suspicion is that all the items are re-loaded - they're not just re-displayed from memory.

Supersimple Zoom Script But Only Big Images Will Zoom Out Again

Dec 14, 2011

I was not happy with the zoom scripts that I found on the net, so I wrote one myself, or one that simulates it. It has become an extremely simple one, and can be seen in action here (function toggleZoom). Click the images to zoom in and click to zoom out again.However, only the images with an initial width of >= 100 pixels will zoom out again. The ones width an initial width of < 100 (nrs. 4, 5 and 7) won't. Why is that, and how do I solve it?

Increasing The Page Size (like Ctrl+)

Jan 13, 2010

I have used javascript to change text size before however the task i wish to try is a little bit out of my league, i have scoured the web looking for an answer and have yet to come close to anything similar. This is sort of a last option for me so i truly hope i find a clue or better yet an answer. Essentially what i am trying to achieve is exactly the effect achieved when you hit "ctrl+" to increase the size of a webpage so that i can include a button/link etc that can be clicked for users with lesser vision so i can avoid going back into any of my clients completed sites and having to completely redo the css/overall design..

JQuery :: Cloning Removes Checked Status From Radio Ctrl?

Jun 7, 2011

I have a form where you can enter 1 player's data, press a button and that DIV gets cloned below with same ID names but numbers get augmented (ie firstName_1 in div player_1 becomes firstName_2 in player_2).
My problem now is I have a Gender radio button and that if you fill out the gender question and then press the 'Add Player' button the checked status seems to disappear from the cloner div but is retained in the clonee div.

IE you can set gender_1 to 'Male' in div player_1 (checked with DOM inspector and console logging) but when stepping thru the code in firebug

JQuery :: How To Zoom Images

Oct 24, 2011

I have a html code, where can be some number of columns and rows with images. Exactly in this example I have 3 x 2 images. There is a fnc setImages() which set s the image to thumbnail. Size of thumbnail depends on count of columns or rows with images. Next I need I need to zoom the image on mouse over.URL...Normally, if you have the html output displayed over whole screen, you should see three images in one line and three images in second line. These are testing images, so they are a little more bigger then the mine one, but usualy x or y size of image is not bigger then 250 px. When you go with mouse cursor over image, the image should Zoom, for example 150% for one side.

JQuery :: Add Delay To Inside Zoom ?

Mar 29, 2011

I'm using the great cloud zoom jquery plugin to add inside zoom to an image in my site, but I want to add a delay on the hover before the zoom takes place.

I created a jsfiddle so you can see the code in action [url]

Hover over the image and the effect takes place immediately. I'm not sure how to make it wait say .5 seconds before it happens.

So far there is no jquery involved from me, I just put the image inside a <a class='cloud-zoom' href='address of big image'><img src='address of small image'></a> to make it work.

Disabling CTRL-N In IE7

Apr 24, 2009

I am using the following code for disabling Ctrl-N in IE7. It disables the Ctrl-N feature of IE which opens a new window containing the same page as the 'active' window. The code works great (at first glance). However, I noticed that, if you click anywhere inside the browser window and THEN press Ctrl-N, the new window will open. If you don't click anywhere inside the window, the following code works. Can anyone see an improvement to the following code so that clicking inside the browser window doesn't bypass the javascript?

JQuery :: FireFox Doesn't Like Filter And Zoom Properties In Style Sheet?

Dec 21, 2011

I thought I'd try to begin with the accordion and tab, but I have had no success yet. I must be missing something simple. Here is the first test page:[code]Instead of getting tabs, I get my pages (generated by cgi perl scripts) displayed in tiny little scrollboxes at the top left.Equally bad, Firefox is telling me, in the error console, that jQuery.Tabs is undefined.FireFox doesn't like the filter and zoom properties in your style sheet.So, then, what do I need to do to get the tabs to work in the first instance. And then, how do I modify it to use an Accordion to display the same material. Are there any issues I need to be aware of when I start having my perl scripts (using predominantly the Perl packagesCGI and CGI::Session)create these pages?As far as possible, I am trying to keep this all valid HTML5, so that I can eventually make this interface mobile device friendly.
