I need a button that will switch on a div and the toggle between this div (link) and other one. I used jquery-latest.js:

I have some toggling set up, but I'd like to make it so when you toggle one, it resets all the others.
This is what I've been trying:

$(".note_active").removeClass(".note_active");
$(this).toggleClass("note_active");
});
That doesn't work. However, when I change removeClass() to hide(), it hides the correct things (i.e things that are "active")
I can't get my toggle button to work.

I have a problem which I am not able to solve. I read a lot and tried many things but without being successful. Mhh.. The problem I struggle with is a simple .toggle() of a DIV. This is working fine. But now I do an ajax request and get the response back from my javascript ajax implementation (I'm using ajax anywhere). Within this implementation I work inside a callback routine which makes it possible accessing the response before updateing the DOM. Inside this routine I want to .toggle() but this is not working. It happens just nothing. I also do not get any javascript errors. As soon as the request is completly done I am able to .toggle() again.
When I am accessing the DIV by using jquery ($('#div_id')) it is referenced to the correct object within de document. Only the .toggle() does not work. .hide() for example is working fine.
Background: I am doing this like this, because I want to know if the response contains validation erros. If so I leave the DIV with the form inside as it is an highlight the error. Otherwise (no errors) I close the div with .toggle(), update the dom with the new form and open the DIV again.
Many reports are facing a problem that they lose the jquery binding. But this is not my problem as far as I understand.
How to union all plugins in 1 file ? Simple copy-paste do not work.

The following script works fine in IE6. In FF 1.0.7, it doesn't display the response text. The alert()'s in the script show that:
1) the script successfully creates the request object
2) 'http_request.status' starts off equal to 0
3) the readystate displays: 1, 1, 2, 4

I have a link and a div on a webpage. With the link I want to toggle the content (HTML) of the div. On toggle, I want to load the content from a PHP-file and I want it to load on the toggle, not when the webpage originally loaded (to reduce loading time on the webpage itself).

I only want one div to be toggled and currently they don't close after a next span is clicked!you can see the website. If you click on the linkedin and the facebook icon next to the line "now compatible with" you'll see what I mean.So is there a way to close the div when a next span is clicked.
On the following page (Link to the test page), i used toggle to open and close additional content. I don't know why, but you always have to click twice on the Link (name) to see or hide the content. im shure the code isn't perfect, but all in all it works.
