JQuery :: Get Rid Of "flash Of Expanded Content" Upon Refresh?
Jun 7, 2010
look at the following website:
[URL]
I'm using the toggle effect to create the expandable content here. However, when I click Refresh, you see a flash of the expanded content before it quickly collapses again. Is there any way to get rid of this?
Im creating a javascript content expander and would like to know how to create it so it changed the image from an down arrows to open the box, and a down arrow to close the box.Here is my current code.
Code:
<script type="text/javascript"> //var persistmenu="yes" var persisttype="sitewide"
[code].....
I want the <div class="rightnews"> thing to change from an up arrow to a down arrow.Here are the icons im using.for the box to contract:
When you refresh the page in IE7 you will see what I mean - i have tried everthing including advice from http:[url]......Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
i want load Content(is html) with jQuery. why following code not worked for me? i use of this tutorial: http:[url].......html:click on each of this link load page it(href).
I have 2 Divs. One Div has a form and another one DIV should get refreshed. While I submit the form, another DIV should reload without refresh/reload the page. I submit the form using Ajax its working fine. The content is displayed in the Div2 should reload. How to do it?
Example <div id="one"> <form> <input type="text" name="myname" id="myname" />.
Why after several times click on buttons, is hang website? i use of function .load() for loading content(html). i use of firebug for solution this problem but did not succeed.
I have this code http://www.jsfiddle.net/Nntc7/ created by a pdf publisher, I need to offer non flash content to users but dont know javascript and I cant get the thing to work using swfobject, How do I edit this to allow for alternative content??
How to embed this flash so it will stay behind other content, e.g. a lightbox?
<td align="left" id="container" valign="middle" z-index="0"><!-- see notes for files included --> <a href="[URL]">Get the Flash Player to see this rotator.</a> <script type="text/javascript" src="my/path/to/file.js"></script> <object><script type="text/javascript"> var s1 = new SWFObject("my/path/to/flash.swf","rotator","415","120","7"); s1.addParam("allowfullscreen","false"); s1.addVariable("file","my/path/to/file.xml"); s1.addVariable("width","415"); s1.addVariable("height","120"); s1.write("container","embed"); </script></object> </td>
I am fine with embedding full flash but with this XML/javascript flash, I am truly lost.
create a java script that is similar to the flash content Our Picks This Week >See New Book Releases at http:[url]..... If so, does anyone have examples that I might could use/modify? Or possibly instruct me on how to go about creating it?
as you can see the items hide/show on click using a simple jQuery toggle. My question is, is it possible to link to my website with one section already expanded from an external source. I hope this question makes sense. Iv tried and failed by linking to the div id using #link but cant get that to work.
I am interested in using a popup to show flash games in it, so I did then my interest went to make all games playable in full screen so I did that too and got success, but I am facing issues due to wmode, if you visit my this site link [URL] and click on play game for other browsers while using google chrome browser, you will see the error there will be blocks appearing in the game, while if click on play for google chrome then this error is not there, its just because of WMODE, for google chrome button I am using wmode while for all other browsers I am not doing this.
The reason for not using wmode to my other browser play button is that if I add wmode to the games then the performance of the game is highly damaged in fireforx and internet explorer, and also to some extent in other browsers including google chrome. It is that I want to get rid of this wmode=opaque thing as it makes the game slow even in google chrome which is effecting game playing quality, I used window,transparent too but nothing good came out of it. Only google chrome is asking for the wmode, while our step child internet explorer is happy with it. Some more information I would like to provide so that things work fast, I am using blogger blog, I have knowledge of html, xhtml, css and for java or jquery its hint and trial.
I have a quiz embedded on my site that originates elsewhere (QuizRevolution.com) and is embedded on my site via a link (plus some other code), part of that code being in an iframe. The quiz contains YouTube videos that, because of how the quiz is set up by QuizRevolution, will not play in browsers/devices without Flash (for example, the iPad). What I would like to do is put some script on my site that will load a SECOND quiz from QuizRevolution (this one without video) for browsers/devices without Flash. This second quiz will substitute for the first one. Does anyone know how to do this? The tricky part seems to be how I have embedded the quiz in my site, so I have included that part of the page here:
know why flash doesn't work on content dynamically loaded via AJAX? This is for a one-click CopyToClipboard function. I use ZeroClipboard for this. HTML CODE (this works perfect with the clipboard() function)
Code: <label>Image link: </label><input id="photo_direct_link" value="test" /> CLIPBOARD FUNCTION Code: function clipboard() { // Copy to clipboard var photo_direct_link = new ZeroClipboard.Client(); [Code]...
I'm almost done customizing the Superfish jQuery menu to fit my web site theme. I have all of the menu hover and submenu hover styles in place, but I'm having a problem with the color of the top-level menu item's font when the submenu is expanded. The active top menu item's background matches the hover color, but when I hover overa submenu item, the font color reverts back to the original (non-hovered) color. How do I get the top level menu item's color to match its hover color when the submenu is expanded?
The relevant portions of my CSS are as follows: .sf-menu a, .sf-menu a:visited { /* visited pseudo selector so IE6 applies text colour*/ color:#8C1C39; }.sf-menu a.sfHover { color:#FFFFFF; }.sf-menu li { background:transparent; }.sf-menu li li { background:#FFFFFF; }.sf-menu li li li { background:#9AAEDB; }.sf-menu li:hover, .sf-menu li a:hover { color: #FFFFFF; background:#00207B;outline:0; }.sf-menu a:focus, .sf-menu a:active, .sf-menu li li a:hover, .sf-menu li.sfHover { background:#8C1C39; color: #FFFFFF; outline:0; }
When the left column first loads the vertical scrollbar displays correctly.
The vertical scrollbar is aligned up against the right border of the first column of the table which you can see by looking at the first image, and comparing it to the second.
Once I click on a folder in order to expand its contents, the vertical scrollbar introduces a gap of about 20 pixels as shown in the circle.
I looked at the css tag for the "classes" folder using firebug, and it showed {class ="directory collapsed", class= "directory expanded"} prior to and after expanding the contents of the folder.
I did a global regex search, within the project hierarchy, for (collapsed|expanded) and could not find any css that showed any margin-right for expanded, nor could I find any css at all related to "directory (collapsed|expanded)".
The only thing I found was that jqueryFileTree.js contained a function bindTree(t) with some code that toggled (collapsed|expanded):
Does anybody have a clue what is causing the gap once I click on a folder, and how to fix the problem?
Even if close the folder once the gap is there, I can't get rid of it unless I reload the page.
I have a client who now wants his website to refresh every so often but also to refresh and have new content each time.Example. On a part of his website he wants there to be a small section of "Random Quotes". His website at the moment is refreshing every 10 minutes. He decided now that he wants when the page refreshes a new quote to appear in the "Random Quotes" section.
i would like to build a page which is nav and content, I would like the content to change without refreshing the page, also ideally fallback gracefully to non java say to standard go and view new page on click if javascript is disabled, and also have the content only load in when required as the content is heavy and I dont think just hiding divs will be a good solution? any ideas, I'm thinking a javascript PHP solution is required
I have two selectboxes containing several option. I am able to move options from one selectbox to the other selectbox (by .insertBefore for example).
However, when I clone those selectboxes, the cloned selectboxes behave incorrect. I am able to move options from one to the other, but they won't show correctly. Only after a browser resize or minimize/maximize window will the selectboxes be 'refreshed' to reflect their real content. See the following code example. Bottom selectboxes are clones of the top ones. Code:
i am trying to have the content of a txt file loaded in a page (which works), but this file changes on a regular basis and I need just the text to refreash, not the whole page, this is what I have... As mentioned, it correctly displayes the content of the .txt file, but from the code I have, I need it to refresh
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head>
I'm trying to reload some dynamic content that is contained within div tags without refreshing the entire page. After some searching it appears that Ajax is my best bet, but I have never worked with JQuery before.
Here is the code snippet from the page containing the data I'm looking to refresh when a user click the "update" form button:
I've been ordered to prepare a simple website and I've found the following on some website to load some content into a div without reloading everything on the page.
HTML Code: <script type="text/javascript" src="jquery-1.3.2.min.js"></script> <script language="javascript"> function Load(div, link) { $(div).load(link); } </script> <a href="#" onclick="Load('#page-content','project.htm');">About the Project</a> It works and loads project.htm into div id=page-content.
The problem is that it adds just the hash to the main html (default.html) in the website url. When I hit F5 I go back to the main page as even though the content of some div's is different, the url is still just default.html. When I click a link it should load some content into a div and alter the url so when someone refreshes the page or shares a link with someone he can see what he is meant to not the main page.
In my webpage is a div where the maincontent of the page is loaded in via Ajax. Now of course whenever I apply the browser refresh butten that content initializes.
