JQuery :: Toggle & Animate Div Location, Text Displayed & Graphic Rotate?
Jun 19, 2010
Here's what I'm trying to do: When someone clicks on plain text with div of "hdrlink", then div of "slideshow" will close up using toggle. At the same time also need div of "headerNav" to move up 300px. When the user clicks "hdrlink" again, then "slideshow" reappears and "headerNav" move back down 300px (starting position)Here's the script:
I am using Javascript on an upload page to hide the form and show an animated progress graphic when the user clicks Submit. The problem is that the graphic, which is initially hidden, does not animate when displayed in Internet Explorer. (works great in Firefox, of course)
I searched Google and found a couple postings describing this problem, but I couldn't seem to find a solution.
How to do this but still can't figure it out. I'm currently reading jQuery from novice to ninja but I'm no where close to a ninja. I have a div containing list items, a photo, and a plus/minus button at the bottom of the div. The list items are absolutely positioned behind the photo. When I click on the plus button I want it to change to minus and animate the photo 29px from the top revealing the list-items behind it. Then I want to click the minus button changing it back to plus and animating the photo back up to the top.
I'm trying to accomplish something very similar to what you see on Kyanmedia.com. Except their images animate down and up on hover. I want my image to animate down then up on click and toggle the plus/minus image. I'm new to jQuery so I'm having a real hard time trying to figure this out. Everything I've tried doesn't work. The links to Kyan Media to get an idea of what I'm trying to do.
Page 55 of JQuery Novice to Ninja shows the following code. When the page is run you CLICK on the first paragraph and the animation is triggered BUT I do not see any CLICK EVENT in this script. Isn't the document.ready function the trigger? What am I missing?
I am looking for the best way to rotate the displayed text . Text should also fade in and out. I have tried the innerfade plugin but was wondering what else might be available.
I need to rotate text by 90, 180 and 270 degrees. How can i achieve this in firefox2.
In brief, what i am doing is, there is one main container div whose background is set by 600x400 image. There are 4 inner divs each having some text. Now i have to rotate that divs by 90, 180 and 270 by selecting it. Text present in those divs is not rotating.
I would like to set up the section on the right that says "testimonials" to rotate between three quotes, with an image next to each quote. Is there a way to do this with a div block that does not have a set size?
I know I can use flash but that obviously would be a set width.
So, I have a hover state on a list item that makes the text enlarge and a swapping of background images, etc.
I've already built it all with CSS, but I wanted to make the change animate. Is it possible to just animate the CSS changes with JQuery, by doing it with a class or something, rather than having to write all the changes in JQuery?
Here is what I have, which doesn't animate [code]...
I'm wondering if a script exists that will convert a text field value to a checked checkedbox in an html form? I don't have access to the database, and want to use a simple script on the form to take care of this.
I'm trying to get an A tag to toggle between hide and show when It is clicked, you can check the latest version of my trying here:psdesignzone dot com / jquery / d6tftoggle.htmlI'm trying to change the innerHTML I guess of the A tag to hide or show each time that specific element is clicked (i'll need this to work with other a tags as well)
I have an input field where the user will type in their name and a number, and this is then output (in real time) in another 2 input fields as they type them.
I am trying to animate the output text, so when the user types in their name, the letters fadeIn (quickly so it seems like they're flashing in) rather than just appearing.
The code I have for this at the moment is as follows (the bits in bold is what I would like to animate).
I have a graphic that is the gray ver of the one i want to swap in it looks like this
The base_url() is part of CodeIgnighter it puts in the base url so i can access the image directory
I have an onload comand in my body to refresh this ever 10 seconds what i need to know is how to swap out the above file for friend_request.png witch is in the same dir
This is the loaded graphic and this is what i want it to look like if my script returns a friend request just to give you and idea of what i'm doing.
I'm using a Volusion shopping cart and it uses JavaScript to insert code into DIVs with specific IDs. The code that it inserts can't be changed from the backend, so I'm wondering if there is a way to replace it with JavaScript after it's rendered.
Here is my problem specifically: I'm trying to change the wording "Find by Type" to "Sort by Type", but I can't modify it since it's being added in later by JavaScript. The tag I have in my template file is:
Code: <div id="search_refinement_filters"></div> but when rendered, Volusion turns it into:
I am using the breadcrumb script from this website. it's the first one I've found that is working for me! I would like to know if it is possible to have the text that displays for the page be the name of the html document instead of the meta title (because they are too long). Is there a simple place within this code to get the script to pull the file name instead?
example: www.mywebsite/tweezers.html I want the breadcrumbs to be home > tweezers But it's giving me home > TDI Precision Tweezers | Electronics Assembly Tweezers | Lab Tweezers | Cleanroom Tweezers
This code is not able to toggle independently. What can I do so when I click on one of the "1 Comment" links it opens up independently? It also displays like "1 Comment1Comment" instead of "1 Comment" which I assume will display only once if the other issue can be fixed.
I am new to javascript, and am having an issue, which I'm sure is elementary.. I found a script for expandable content, it suffices fine. As it stands, the script toggles images onclick. For example, whence the menu is collapsed, it displays "plus.gif" next to it, and when the menu is expanded, it displays "minus.gif" next to it.
Basically, what I would like to know is, thus: how would I change it to display text icons next to it? For example, in place of "plus.gif" I should like it to display "+" as actual text. I've dredged a number of places, however, I've found nothing. Furthermore, I cannot figure out how to do it.
I have a toggle animation which puts the area I want to show to the user in view, ones that animation has played I want to animate several other objects on the page. I have the code to animate one object by using the callback function in animate. But is it possible to animate several objects in the callback function?. this is the code I have so far
I have a list of paragraphs that all need to say the same thing. Each has it's own ID and class (each one has a different font color) and I need a co-worker to be able to type a phrase or name into a form field & hit "go" and have it update all of the paragraphs to reflect that text in the various colors. I also need it to have a predetermined default phrase.
Example: Welcome Home (in blue) Welcome Home (in red) Welcome Home (in green) Welcome Home (in black) Welcome Home (in yellow) etc.
I already have the framework set up (with the colors and everything) it's just a matter of changing the contents of the paragraph-tag.
Working with a script I had found/pieced together online. It toggles the display of certain content along with selected text (i.e., "view/hide"). It's working great in all browsers except for IE7 (go figure). The showing and hiding of the content works, just not the switching out of the values for "show/hide".
