first time up for Ajax Form plugin and AjaxSubmit. Simple test everything worked fine. However as the design has developed some strange behaviour is happening adn I dont really know where to start. The scenario is a pretty simple form validation and then insert or update of a new user record. I should mention that the tests all relate to New User records only (Inserts) no test as yet for existing users.
3 different outcomes. Tested in the PHPEd IDE with embedded IE: inserts a MySQL record correctly but supposed to remain on the page with the original submit. instead the redirect is to the PHP Server side script page - action="ajaxresponders/process_user.php" the echoed output is as it should be. Tested in the PHPEd IDE with embedded Firefox: The insert is processed correctly however the page never completes it shows connecting/waiting for localhost forever.
Tested outside the IDE on local server. With both Firefox and IE the PHP script is processed twice resulting in two seperate inserts of the same data from the form although with different userID (auto increment) and activationKey which is generated in the script prior to the insert!!!

Our company own a lot of domains and want to put a short page of copy on each address along with keywords before redirecting the user to our main site. I have been able to get the page to load the main site after the desired time using this code in the head...
<META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" CONTENT="40;URL=http://webaddress.com/">
That works perfectly, I am now trying to display a countdown timer from 40 seconds down to 0, and on 0 redirect the user. Saying something like "You will be redirected in XX seconds". Is there anyway of doing this? I've been searching google for the answers with no luck and can only seem to find timers that countdown to a set date.

Why is it that we use bridge pages that say 'If you're not redirected...'.I can see it if you've moved a page and want the user to see the new url before redirecting, but are there other reasons? Does a meta refresh or window not work in some browsers?

var checkStock = function(){
As you can see it retrieves data with json so it makes an invoice. If the items that er in stock are smaller then the items that are ordered the paga can not be send. This part works BUT if everthing is ok and we get to our submit, it submits but goes to a white/blank page ?
I tried everything i could think of, no luck, even in the IRC no luck.

I am using an iframe in my page to submit a form to so that it can upload a file - since you can't do this through the jquery ajax function. I have everything working, but I want to be able to hide the iframe and get the content of it, and put just the content inside of it into another div on the page. I have tried alot of things, but I think this one was probably closest:
$("#myframe")[0].contentDocument;
This ended up getting me a value type of "Object HTMLDocument", I just can't figure out how to get the content as a string so that I can put it into the div I want.

I want to know if there is a way to prevent users from manually typing in the URL and entering the page after they have already signed out?
I was able to make the back button disabled.
Let's say if they have already click logout and when they click back, it won't go anywhere, which is what I want.
But, if they manually type in the url address, it will take them to that page. What I want to do is after they logout and whenever they try to type the url, it should not take them to that page, but instead to the login page.

I'm trying to create a form where the user enters data in a field and is redirected to a URL based on that entry - example: user enters 1234 and he is directed to mypage.com/1234/index.htm - if that folder does not exist it would give a 'try again' error.

I have tried all the tutorial on the net which I can search, but all of them work without showing me the confirm message.
My submit form is simple as follow:
The user put their information in, the it will be valid using [url]
After the user submit the form, all the information will be sent over the internet to a mail.php file to process the sending.
The form disappear and a message confirmation appear.
However, all this process will not make the from refresh.

i've a div that contains a form, each of these elements have their own id; the structure is something like this
<div class="art-Block-body">
<div class="art-BlockHeader">
<div class="art-header-tag-icon">[code].....
I'd want that: at the first user's click on the #register div, the div #registerForm become visible, it should remains visible also when the user click the submit button within and it should disappear if the user click a second time on the #register.I partially solved my problems with this:
$(document).ready(function(){
$("#registerForm").css("display","none");
$("#register").toggle(function(){[code]....
but i can't resolve the submit issue: whenever a user submit the form in the #loginForm div, the page refresh and the main div return invisible.

I have a device with embedded webserver. Its page offers to reset the device,with the following javascript function:
function Restart()
{
if (confirm("Your Web browser will lose contact with the
camera.
Are you sure you want to restart the camera?"))
{
var form = document.WizardForm
form.do_reboot.value = "yes"
form.submit()
}
}
Now I want to execute the reset function automatically on a timeschedule (every 24 hours, from crontab). How do I accomplish this? I guess I need something like the reverse of WGET - something like a WPUT or WSUBMIT, that talks to the embedded web server and submits a form with
do_reboot = "yes". However, I have never heard of any such tool.
How can I trigger the functionality in an automated way, without browsing the page and clicking the button manually?

I am running into a problem, that no one else in the world seems to have. When I make a form and submit the page is refreshed, or rather redirected to a state with the values filled after the ? [URL]
I have found solutions that have worked for other people, none of them work for me. I have tested my forms on multiple browsers on multiple systems and the problem persists.
Here is one example of my code where this happens.
<script type="text/javascript">
function checkCC(myForm)
{
var ccType;
var ccLength;
[Code].....
How do I get this to not happen? I've tried almost every fix I could find that worked for other people none have worked for me.
