JQuery :: Style Switcher - Possible To Fade Transition?

May 15, 2009

Is it possible to fade the transition between switching one CSS to another? I am currently using
jquery style switcher to get the transition. I am also using prototype/ scriptaculous to make div fields appear and fade in a duration of 0.5, and would like to time the CSS transition to be in sync with the div transition. Please see link below to see the website that I am building and current CSS and div transition timings: [URL].

JQuery :: Advanced Image Transition - Image Fade To Another Oneprogressively While The Mouse Is Over

Oct 25, 2011

The objective is to have an image fade to another one progressivly while the mouse is over, when its not it fades back to the original, whether or not it faded to the target completely or not. That is, if it takes 1 second to fade completely to the other image, and you take your mouse off it at 0.5 seconds, it will begin to fade back to the original. I have a problem where I want to give this ability to multiple images (thumbnails) on a page, without having reams and reams of code and instead just have one function accomadate any number of images.

JQuery :: Template Switcher Function - Permission Denied Error In IE

Jan 17, 2011

I am a jquery newbie and trying to make a template switcher function. Here is what I have so far: [URL]. If I click on "login page" or "member page" first, and then click on "Template 1" or "Template 2", it wont work. IE gave me "permission denied" js error. FF didn't give me error, but nothing happened. Is it because after we click on the login or member page, the DOM elements has changed, so it doesn't work?

Code:
$(document).ready(function(){
var templateframe = $('#templateframe').contents();
noclick();
$("#templateselect li a").click(function() {
var style = $(this).attr('rel');
templateframe.find('link').eq(0).attr("href", "styles/" + style + "/_css/main.css");
alert(templateframe.find('link').eq(0).attr("href"));
return false;
});

$("#pagenav li a").click(function() {
var page = $(this).attr('rel');
$('#templateframe').attr("src", "template/" + page + ".html");
noclick();
return false;
});

$('#applybtn').click(function(event) {
var title = $('#sitetitle').val();
if(title.length > 0){
templateframe.find('.content h1').html(title);
} event.preventDefault();
});

function noclick(){
$('#templateframe').load(function(){
//$('#templateframe').contents().find('.content h1').html('Hey, I've changed content of <body>! Yay!!!');
$('#templateframe').contents().find('a').click(function(event) {
alert("Demo Only");

JQuery :: Fade In Fade Out Hover Effect In Gallery?

Dec 19, 2011

I have a gallery style page with rectangular images on laid out like a grid of nine. When the user looks at the page there is just the images and no information, but when they hover over the image I would like some text and a bar underneath to show up over the top so the user can read some information.my images sit in "a" tags. There is also a div tag in there which has it's z-index and position (absolute) set up so that it sits over the top of the image element in the "a" tag. stripped down e.g.

<a href="#"><img.... /><div>the info</div></a>

I need the div tag withinin the "a" tag to be set to 0 opacity. When the user hovers over the image the div tag slowly fades in to 100% opacity. Once the user moves the mouse away from the image the div tag slowly disappears again.I need each one to work independently so that it only changes the one currently being hovered over.

Image Switcher

May 12, 2006

I wonder if some one could help me with an issue that I have with an image switcher.

I have 12 Images with a discription to each one. Now, the script is working, as it is now, but the background on the page is black and I am trying to change the font color to white (#FFFFFF).

I believe I have tried it all, and I can get the font color to be white on the working page (FrontPage), but I just can't get the white font to shine up in the preview browser.

Why I know that it is working? Well, I marked the text below the image in the preview browser and as I hover over the links, the marked text is actually changing synchron with the 12 images. Code:

JQuery :: Obtain ORIGINAL Style Setting - And NOT Computed Style?

May 5, 2010

My understanding had been that $.css("width") would return the original user selected style, eg "100%" or "10em", and $.width() returned the computed width, always in "px". Not so, following the code through for .css(), it calls something called getComputedStyle and the only difference between the two functions turns out to be a post-fix of "px" on the .css() result - not very useful. I need to know whether my user has called me with a proportional dimension, or a fixed one. How to tell with jQuery?

IE7 Image Switcher And Audio

user prompt to allow active-x scripts to be run etc, but unfortunately the
code does not work in Internet Explorer 7. Can you suggest an alternative?

PROBLEM 2:

When using a image switching code to swap an image to a .gif anim that plays
just once (created using Ulead Gif Animator 5), Internet Explorer 6 and
FireFox begin the animation cycle only when the image has been switched.
Unfortunately, Internet Explorer 7 seems to play the animation as soon as it
has been loaded so when it’s switched you only see the last frame. Can you
