JQuery :: Slider Values Not Accurate At Ends?

Jun 1, 2009

<html>
<head>
<style>
.hmmessage P

[Code]....

No matter if I set min/max, step, etc....when sliding all the way left or right, the values are incorrect at the end. For example, with default values, sliding all the way left results in a value of 10....but moving back to the right slightly causes it to drop to 0 and then count up from there. The reverse is true for the right/high end. It's behaving this way in both IE7 and FF 3 on XP. [URL]

Jquery :: Slider And Input Box - Update Each Others' Values

Mar 30, 2008

I've got a slider in jquery and I want it to populate an input box with a value as it is slid. I also want the user to be able to enter a value into the input box and for the slider handle to move to the appropriate position.

I've found an example of the bare-bones slider in the jquery docs and some basic documentation, but I've no idea how to get it to do what I need, and can't find any simple, fully featured examples anywhere which do what I need.

Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function(){
$("#example").slider();

JQuery :: Own Slider Function - Automatically Detects Margin-top CSS Values

Mar 10, 2011

I recently wrote this slider function which automatically detects margin-top CSS values, then offsets the desired div, then simultaneously slides and fades the div in using jQuery's animate() function. It seems to work well with only one div. However if I set it up to slide multiple divs, I am having an issue I cannot figure out.

First, here's the example...[url]

You will have to few the example in Safari or Firefox as I have disabled the javascript in IE using conditional comments. You can view source to see my HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

My issue is this. The #header div slides in great. After a set delay, the #about div slides in. I want each div to slide in separately, one after another. However, when the #about div slides in, it seems to affect the #header element. When the #about div is in motion, I do not want the #header element to move.

Document.domain - Not Accurate ?

Jul 28, 2011

Okay, reason I say that is, its not accurate to the actual domain that the "script" is located on.

For example, domain.com has the <script url=domain2.com/jsfile> which has " document.domain " (this = domain.com)

However, if i have frame of domain3.com which frames domain.com the domain will show domain3.com but thats not what I care about, I want domain.com since thats whats actually being shown.

Accurate Stopwatch & Count-down Timer

Sep 16, 2006

I'm currently trying to make an accurate stopwatch and count-down timer. So far, I've just worked on the stopwatch, but it is inaccurate due to the calculation time of the Javascript. A more accurate method would perhaps be to compare the starting time and the current time, where the times are retrieved using the Date object. However, using this method I am not sure how to start/stop the timer (eg. I stop it at 1:00 and then start it again 5 minutes later, and it continues from the time it stopped - 1:01, 1:02, etc.). Hide/get Rid Of A Flash Animation After It Ends?

Jul 13, 2009

I'm cooperating with some friends on making the design for a website. I'll be handling all the flash stuff. I'm very good with Actionscript, flash's scripting language. What I'm trying to do is this: in the Home page, I want to add a big flash animation, that goes on top of the normal content (as in a higher layer). The animation will end after some point, after which I want to get rid of it, sort of like a welcome animation, that vanishes off after it ends. This way when someone accesses the website, they'll be greeted to a small non-annoying animation that overlaps the rest of the page, and then they'll be left with the Home.

The problem is this: I don't know how to do it. I don't know javascript. I do know that actionscript is based in javascript. I've been fooling around on some javascript tutorial pages and indeed they are pretty similar, so I'm not entirely helpless.But I can't find what I'm looking for. After a set amount of time, how do I get rid of the flash in the document? Can I eliminate it, make it invisible, unvalidate it or whatever?I thought that instead of having the animation in another page that redirects to the Home, this would be a great opportunity to finally learn how to integrate flash with websites.

Hide / Show Table - For Loop Ends Prematurely

May 18, 2011

The functions hide/show tables within a page, and update a button by the table title accordingly. The number of tables on the page is dynamic (php generated based on an SQL query), so the Expand/Collapse all buttons are generated last, and pass the table count to the functions in variable x. I have confirmed that the number passed in x is correct for the number of tables, and that all of the tables' IDs are correct in the generated HTML. The problem is that no matter what is passed in x (currently over 300), the loop ends at 27.

function expand_all(x){
var i=1
for(i = 1; i <= x; i++){
document.getElementById('tbl' + i).style.display = "block";
document.getElementById('lnk' + i).value = "[ - ]";
}}// end expand_all
function shrink_all(x){
var i=1
for(i = 1; i <= x; i++){
document.getElementById('tbl' + i).style.display = "none";
document.getElementById('lnk' + i).value = "[ + ]";
}}// end shrink_all

To confirm the values, I changed
document.getElementById('lnk' + i).value = "[ - ]";
to
document.getElementById('lnk' + i).value = "[ - ] " + i + " of " + x;
In both functions, I got incrementing values for i from 1 to 27. X consistently was 343.

JQuery :: Checking Multiple Input Values Against Various Other Hidden Minimum Values

Blank or '0' entries are fine but if it's below the minimum quantity it should set to the minimum.

HTML:

Is there something obviously wrong with this? It isn't performing the minimum check and I'm really not sure why.
