JQuery :: Show "loading" Image When Clicking A Link

There's an outgoing link on my website that is sometimes slow to respond. I want to show a spinning wheel image after clicking it. Here is how I do it:
There are 2 problems: Firefox doesn't remove the "loading" class when going to another page and clicking the browser's Back button. Google Chromedoesn't add the class "loading". Instead itimmediately opens the pagetargetedby the link.I solved this by adding a "delay()". Is this the best approach?

I am using ASP.net and javascript. Presently I have a link on the web page, which opens an image....if the user wants to save it , he has to right click the image and then save it. But,I don't want the user to right-click and choose the option "Save Picture As" or "Save Image" of the browser. Instead I want the user to click a link or button that is displayed just under the image. After clicking the link/button, the user should be able to save the image in his/her local hard disk/machine in a particular folder or just under C: or bringing up the file directory dialog box where the user can save in his/her own folder.
i've searched this forum before posting but didn't find a "clean" solution to my problem. I have an image with a link on it:

I need to disable the link after the image has been clicked,preventing multiple insertions of the same value. I've modified the link this way:

I am pretty new to javascript, safe to say I have never written anything, just edited. I am trying to write this function now to replace image inside a div on clicking a link. Here's what I have so far -

It shows up the image source instead of the image itself when I run it.
What I want to do is, when someone clicks a link the image pops up on screen in its own nice window smack down in the middle of the screen over top of the website. I want it to look neat tho, best example I can find is @ curse.com. [URL]. If you click that link and scroll down to the screen shot section and click on one of the images you can see how nice and professional it looks. How can I accomplish this?
In one of my web page I want to show an image preloader. ie When I clicked on the small thumbnail in my web page then the main large image will load. My code looks something like this

I want to show the Loading sign until the main image loads completely.
The trouble is, is that some pages are very long and some are very short, so using offsetTop is obviously not bringing the form into full view ;-( Still keeping all the functions detailed in the code below, how would you adjust the code to achieve the aim of always showing the form, when clicking on the button to show the form, regardless of how long or short the page is please?
This specific to the messages posted by members for various sections on this forum. when I read through the message text, and if the member has typed in some link of other site, on mouse over of this link i see small image of the link contents. I wanted to know how to do that? Are the images stored in the database and shown on mouse over or its something else.
I want a new image to show when the user mouses over each link. I prefer a jquery plugin. Does anyone have recommendations for me? I'm a newb when it comes to Javascript so the easier the better
I opted to use JavaScript & PHP (instead of Flash) to create a sort-of "t-shirt designer" -- basically, it's a gallery-type script that allows users to scroll through t-shirt styles, swap colors, and so on, prior to reaching the actual design tool. And I'm starting to regret.
It's actually working very well so far, except for one thing: I want the t-shirt option that the user selects to link the user to the design tool. The "gallery" already has an image for each possible option that displays whenever the user selects a combination, but I want to make that image is a clickable link.
I have no idea where to start -- I know next to nothing about javascript -- and to accomplish this in Flasjh I'd have to start this stupid basic thing all over again from scratch, and it would defeat the point of not using Flash in the first place, so
I have a couple of links which when clicking on them start a video. In another div with id="info" I want to give more information about the video which is playing. When you click on a new link and the video starts the information should update. The information wich is in a list item is hidden with display: none before you click on the link. My problem is that the information of the previous video is not disappearing when I start a new one. I don't know what to write to make the information of the previous video disappear.

I did a search of the forums, and this was the only thing I could come up that seems similar: [URL]. The last post in this thread tells me what I already know from my other research today - this function doesn't work in FF, Safari, etc.
Works great in IE, but nothing else. I'm using a jQuery gallery tool called fancybox, and from what I can gather, the popup of the gallery must be tied to a click on an anchor link.

Still doesn't work (not even in IE). BTW, $timeleft is a var that is being created in PHP. I've checked the source code and it is counting down correctly.
I have the following website: [URL]. As you can see, there are a couple of news items. In fact, there should be 3 items on the homepage, the rest should be hidden.
When you click the button "oudere nieuwsberichten" what means "older news", the other newsitems should be shown underneath the 3 existing ones.
I have this loading.gif image that is 750px, when it should be 32px. The reason it's huge now is because my original solution was displaying two images: one 750px version of the loading.gif image and one 32px version (in the center of the 750px) of the same image. Now I'm at least down to one image, even if it's the wrong version.Click any of the thumbnail images here, and then again on the thumbnail at the top of that popup product gallery to see what I mean: need that huge loading.gif to be 32px like it should be, and then expand to 750px once the image is loaded. I am having a problem with a site I am working on right [URL]..clicking on the "Kontaktieren Sie uns"-Link it triggers an unwanted scroll in the slider just underneath it. I am also getting a java script error when I view the site on ie/windows. I am clueless since I am not at all confident with java script.
I would like to set the link's "visited" pseudo-class with javascript without clicking on the link. My goal is to update the link's color (previously set in the CSS file) to be "visited" without actually clicking on the link and then clicking "back" in the browser.
