Is there anyway to make a vertical super fish menu drop left? I have positioned the menu on the right side of the page so, I need sub-menus to drop left. Is this possible?
View 1 RepliesLove this menu. This menu will be appearing in module on right hand side of page. So I need the submenu to display on left, not right. So how to make this a right to left menu? I've played around a bit and have had no luck yet. I've used the navbar on another site and I'd really like to use this vertical menu too.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using superfish menu jquery plugin, and I'm wondering if someone know how to update plugin that you can decide if sub - sub menus wil be shown on the right (that is in the original) or on the left side of the parent menu.
The problem is, that if the last menu is near the end of the browser, than the sub - sub menu will go off side the browser.
I'm using the Superfish vertical menu to develop an online book. My vertical menu which consists of chapters and sections place on the side of my page, and is long enough to show all of the main items. However, as the chapters get lower in the page, the submenu items (my section names) get cutoff (there's not enough room to show all subitems for the final 2 chapters). So, I guess I have 2 questions:
1) Is there some sort of option to tell Superfish to realize "Hey, not enough room for the menu, so I need to move the submenu up higher" and if not
2) Could someone give me some direction as to how I might be able to move "up" a few of my submenus by diving into the code? In other words, instead of the first item in my submenu visually matching up with the main option, have the 3rd or 4th visually matchup, thereby giving me the extra space needed when close to the bottom of the page.
On my website the navigation is at the top and right aligned. When you hover over the items on the right and the drop downs begin to appear they drop down and fold out to the right and consequently off the page and not very visible. Is there a way to tell the drop downs to roll out to the left instead of right?

i'm having with a superfish menu i have tried to add to my wordpress site.The menu seems to work fine for the base-level (top parent pages) menu items.But the drop down menus seem to flash on screen for just a second and then disappear when the mouse hovers over the menu items.To see an example, please check out the top menu on this temporary development page: http:[url].....I have tried adjusting the z-index in superfish.css file but it doesn't seem to be having any effect.

Building a site with a vertical nav on the left of page. Text links. The problem I've been trying to work out is lets say I have 5 links
1. Pumps
2. Motors
3. Cleaners
4. Chemicals
5. Filters
Each link on mouseover, popups to the right and shows links to different pages within the site. example.. pumps. pops up the mouseover window and has 3 links to 3 different pumps, each on a separate pages. Where as the moters link may have 25 links to different kinds of motors etc.

I have a sliding vertical menu in my page in the left side and in the right side i have a text say for eg: Home.
So when i click on home, i need the left side vertical menu to slide and open and the home in the left side should get highlighted. How do i do this in javascript?
If I select one of the menu items the submenu appears just fine, my only
problem is that If I point the mouse curser away from the whole menu the
submenu is still shown, obviously if I click once with the mouse outside the
menu the submenu disappears. So I need some kind of remove-submenu function
when the mouse pointer is not pointing on menusubmenu....
I would like to know if there is any way to control a vertical superfish so that it sits on the right side of the page and the menus drop left?

right of that menu. For normal horizontal menus you use the Supersubs option when you call Superfish, but the superfish-vertical.css you need to make the menus layout vertically, seem to overwrite the widths of the UL's and LI's.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm curious if anyone knows how to fix this. Most of the content of my page is 940px wide. The superfish menu, expanding as it should to fit my drop-down heading text, is only about 700px wide. I want to apply a color background to the div that the superfish menu is housed in so that the menu appears to be 100% width.
For some reason, in webkit and firefox, the color of the div that the menu is contained in does not show up, so there's just an empty space in that last 25% or so of the bar.
In IE, it looks correct, though. (the color of the containing div shows through the blank space in the menu, making the menu bar appear to fill the entire width).
Am I missing something in the Superfish menu that makes it appear at 100% width?
I'm not very experienced with javascript, but I have a bit of code that works perfectly for me that expands/collapses a div without any animation from top to bottom. I'm looking for the same exact code that lets me expand/collapse from left to right.I've done my due diligence and have search many forums with limited luck (I've only found one that is animated that I can't turn off the animation). Can someone point me in the right direction to code that does exactly the same as what I've posted below except from left to right?[code]
