Open FancyBox/ JQuery Iframe Popup OnChange Of Drop Down Selection?
Feb 15, 2011I have a drop down box. onChange of that drop down box the option selected is $_POSTed to a php page where I'm grabbing that name and using it in a form on the new page.
Instead of it opening a new window for the php page, I'd love to make it more aesthetically pleasing and use Fancy Box and jQuery to open a popup window over the page that has an iframe of the php in it.
My issue: I can't figure out how to have the modal popup open when the dropdown is selected. I don't want to have to use a button to trigger it. Any way to trigger the popup AND also POST to the php page onChange of the selection box?
JQuery :: Fancybox Links Within A Jshowoff Slide Causing Fancybox To Stop Working?
Oct 17, 2010I've been working on a freelance design site, and I have been using jshowoff and fancybox on my portfolio page. The portfolio has multiple sections that are set to be scrolled through using jshowoff by using the slide links. This use of jshowoff is working perfectly fine, but fancybox isn't. fancybox is supposed to be set to launch a modal when any of the portfolio thumbnail images are clicked. As it is right now, fancybox links will not work within the jshowoff slide div, but they do work outside of the jshowoff slide div.
I have done about 5 hours of searching online for possible fixed to my issue, and I haven't found anything. I am attempting to fix the conflict the between jshowoff and fancybox. I am very new to using jQuery plugins, so hopefully, you can all bear with me.If anyone may know how I can fix my fancybox links, so that fancybox will work within my jshowoff slide, I'd greatly appreciate it. I have provided the html below:

Fancybox Popup On Page Load?
Aug 19, 2011I have a page that loads a fancybox popup and it works perfectly with the cookie for setting ho many days to show. the problem i have is that i need it to show 1 every 24 hours over a 3 day period. once the 3rd day is over and the user sees the window for the 3rd day i need a cookie set to never show the window again. here is my code as it sits now. I have worked with this for a couple of days on and off and it is above my head for sure.

Youtube Video Gallery - Clicking On A Video From The Smaller Div See The Video Being Displayed In The Bigger Div ?
Dec 3, 2011I have a video gallery with a bigger div with width 500 pixels where the main video is waiting to be played and below is a smaller div with all the others videos from the gallery having width of 80 pixels.The list of video are managed by a content management system in PHP and are the result of youtube "Share Embed action" where the result is an iframe with the link for the video.How can i clicking on a video from the smaller div see the video being displayed in the bigger div ? already playing? or in a new layer above the website ?For now the video plays in the div it is located at.As an example here is the source video format :

Hyperlinked Flash Video In Popup Window
Sep 26, 2011This is what I have so far which works as a cross-browser download however Firefox will play the video locally inside the popup window: is this normal behaviour?This is a very new area for me as you can probably tell and I was wondering if websites require a flash player to view video or do some browsers have a flash player built in as Firefox has led me to believe?

Aug 10, 2010The Demo in Chrome 6.0.472.25 dev renders all the examples inoperable. It works in Firefox and Explorer with this url to my hard drive.[URL]

I tried to solve this months ago, and I discovered downlevel versions of Chrome worked. Which one?? I don't remember, but after upgrading Chrome the jQuery UI Demo always stopped working. I tried many different machines, all with the same result

Dec 16, 2011On the treeview "Large Tree Demo" page, when "Expanding All" the links at the bottom of the page are not displayed correctly. Some of the links don't connect to the parent nodes. I have tried this using IE8 and Firefix8 with the same results. Can this be fixed ?

Sep 29, 2010It felt like 99% of everything I do with jQuery involves a database some tree-structure so I figured I'd try jsTree out. I uploaded the demo and the way it seem to work is for every parent in the tree it calls a function get_children (PHP) with AJAX which makes a SELECT-query for that node to get the immediate children.
Am I missing something or isn't that extremely demanding on the database? The way I always do is get as much as I can from the database in one go then put it into PHP-arrays. With that plugin as I've seen a lot is that they put all the database-calls inside a class, do all those queries get pre-loaded or something when you call "new Database"? Or is a SELECT-query for a few rows just not that demanding at all?
Create Video Box On Website That Plays YouTube Video
Nov 27, 2011I'm trying to create a video box on a website that plays a youtube video and then automatically plays random recommended videos with no break in playback. An endless playlist created by youtube based on the initial video. Youtube uses Javascript API. I have never used Javascript before but i'm just trying to get the video to play as above. There are few tutorials online and I couldn't find anyone trying to do a similar thing.

Sep 21, 2011We are having an issue with the video playing on our client's site. The video plays fully locally but not fully once set live on the any of the browsers, it plays just the first 15secs, then it stops.
Can anyone share some ideas as to how we can resolve this. The player is in Flash, and uses an eternal XML file for the video. We have checked and all connection are correct.

Showing Count And Video Title On Video Gallery?

so that when you click on the thumbnails it also displays the video description underneath the video, a count, i.e. 1 of 3 etc. and previous and next buttons. Should I be using another plugin or is there a way with this one?

Jun 28, 2011I am new to javascript (I started learning it today) so please explain it for newbies.I am trying to get the amount of video (in seconds) buffered already by the client and the whole duration of the video.Then, I divide them to get the precentage which was buffered so far.I have no problem storing the durating using:var duration = document.getElementById('vid').duration- returns "12.6" (seconds).I am struggling with getting the buffered time. I tried: var buffered = document.getElementById('vid').buffered.This one returns "[object TimeRanges]".From what I understood this is some kind of an object (Like an array?).I tried returning "buffered.length" and I get "1" back.

Is there any way that the link the user clicks to play the video can also jump to the video player at the top of the page? I've tried various hyperlinks but I can't get it to work. The videos play fine, but the users don't realize that they need to scroll back up to the top of the page to see the video.
