It seems to work fine, except for that every anchor tag on the page triggers the script! how can i adjust the script to target a specific anchor (currently has an ID of "test") and ignore all other anchor tags? here's the script, its placed in an external .js file:

There are two radio buttons, sometimes one will be disabled, other times the other will be disabled. I would like to make a script that: First: Changes the color of surrounding text of the disabled radio button to the color grey. Second: Checks the other radio button.

I am needing some help with an error I'm getting from a project I'm working on. First off let me preface this all with the fact that I'm a total javascript noob. I'm really trying to understand what I'm doing wrong. So any help or advice is MORE than welcome. Here's what is happening. I found this code that will duplicate a row in a table and modifiy the name of a input in the row. Well for my purposes I have two different tables I need to work with. (each one idividually) So I changed the code a bit to make it accecpt a variable to use for the table name. (before it was static) and now I'm getting a error. But I was wondering is it possible to make it so that if you visited an anchor link: For example, let's say you visit:

Then a code would run to let's just say... change the color scheme of the website. (And theoretically they same would happen with #v2/#v3, ect)
But the code would NOT run if the requested URL is just

The reason I was wondering is I want the user to be able to "bookmark" a certain script per-say, so that when they revisit the site they don't have to reclick things to get back to where they were before.
I'm using a script that has the back-end functionality mashed up so I can't change it. An image with a link around it hides behind this:

I have created a very very simple javascript that displays random text quotes. It is in Greek but here it is anyway: [URL]. It is in blogger and shows up as a gadget. My problem is that I need to make it reload by a button and at the same time go to the top of this gadget (using an anchor). The reason I want to do this is that I have been sharing this with other bloggers, but if they don't put it on top of their page, as soon as they press the button that reloads the page, they are in the top of the page and they would have to scroll down to find the quote.
I have tried to use window.location.reload with window.location.hash.
It works in Firefox, but not in IE.
I have been trying something like that:

As I said, this works with Firefox, but not with IE9
Also, I can't define urls beforehand because I want other people to be able to use it to their own blog or website.
have been trying to rework this to call additional, independent sets of colors to cycle through (so it would loop thru a set of grays, a set of primary colors, etc). I would use perhaps a different function name in the HTML to call different sets of colors. If this is more complex than I think it is, I think 3 sets would be plenty. demo link of script in current state at bottom)

I have a form which contains FOUR text fields (e.g. TEXTFIELD1, TEXTFIELD2, TEXTFIELD3 & TEXTFIELD4). Each text field holds a HEX,DEC color value. ABOVE this form I have a table with TWO ROWS (ROW1 and ROW2). ROW1 should correspond with TEXTFIELD1, so that when the VALUE in TEXTFEILD1 is changed the background color of ROW1 will change to match the HEX,DEC VALUE entered in TEXTFIELD1. The same would happen with TEXTFIELD2 and ROW2. TEXTFIELD3 should be used to change the color of the TEXT inside ROW1 and TEXTFIELD4 should change the color of the TEXT in ROW2. I also wanted to know if it would be possible to achieve this without clicking any button.

I am having trouble getting my expanding menu to work in Firefox and Opera. It works fine in IE though. I did not write the javascript myself, as I am fairly new to JS, but I did all the HTML and CSS. I used the error console on FF, and also used FireBug. They both returned the following error:

I have some text, where I don't want to display all of the text until the user clicks 'more' link. Once the user clicks 'more' link I want to show the div below and change the link text from 'more' to 'less' so on subsequent click the div below will collapse.

I am trying to figure out how to make a certain text link load in the active link color. What I'm doing is using frames to display different colors of product. In the right frame is the list of colors, and when clicked on, the image in the left frame changes to show the same product in a different color.
What I need is to let users know which image is being shown when they first come to the page, so I would like that link to show in the active color when the page is first loaded and then change to a visited link when another link is clicked on.
Is there code to just underline linked text to a certain color (red) but doesn't change the text color (it was white & when hovered over, it still stays white with a red underline)?

I am currently trying to change the color of my text in jquery. The problem im having is im not sure how to change my color back to the original css color when I click on the other link. All I want is to change the background color of a row when you click on it. If you click on another row in that table, the original clicked on row reverts back to it's original color and the newly clicked row gets the new color.
I have the following code that works okay, but doesn't change the previously clicked row back to it's original color when clicking on another row.

I have a single page that I would like to use a different color for the navigation links (because of the background image) and hover effect. So I decided try to use jquery to accomplish this.

If I comment out line 4 of the jquery code , then the althover goes into effect and links changes to red.
In my second test, I also made the pseudo-class :hover red. and got rid of hover() in the jquery. Again, when I comment out line 4, then :hover works. But if I modify the color via jquery, hover effect via CSS and jquery both fail.
how I can reference the loading div to change the background color?
