Im simply trying to cycle back to the first picture of the gallery. Im on my 3rd day of trying to figure this out. I posted a link below.I checked the html code multiple times and the images and thumbs are in order. But after the 22nd pic, it brings up a broken link. The site is not mine, but my client wants me to use it as a template. Was originally going to do Flash...Hopeing this is a simple fix so I can avoid the embaressment[URL]...
I am new to jquery in anycase I have a db with information about the location of pictures, and I want to use that information to create a gallery with transition effects using the cycle plugin. Right now I can get the info that I need into the <img src=""/> using the code I have, the problem is it keeps giving empty values along with the actual values. To check what was happening I included a navigation bar for each picture and even though I should have 3 results in my query, I am getting 5 pages i.e. the extra ones are empty. I want to know if this problem is because of my php or something wrong I have done with the jquery.
The code I have is pretty simple. <style type="text/css"> .slideshow { height: 210px; width: 210px; margin: auto } .slideshow img { padding: 15px; border: 1px solid #ccc; background-color: #eee; } #nav a { border: 1px solid #ccc; background: #fc0; text-decoration: none; margin: 0 5px; padding: 3px 5px; } #nav a.activeSlide { background: #F90 } #nav a:focus { outline: none; }
I am using the jquery cycle plugin for a fade in/out content gallery for a site's news section - you can see it at: [URL] under the News & Articles section. The plugin works perfectly in Firefox, but I am seeing a white background in IE. Does anyone know how to fix this? It looks like it's an opacity issue. Here is my cycle code:
I have created a very simple gallery using javascript, which just has numbered links to different images.I wanted a gallery like ery simple I wasn't sure how to build the next and back buttons
I have an image gallery and wish to add previous and next buttons to work alongside the numbered links
here is the page with the javascript and html.
------------------------------------------------------------------ <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <HTML> <head>
I am trying to customize the navigation on The Simple Controls Gallery.so that instead of the play buttons being displayed the anchor links are the ones that are being cycled through.immediately received an error indicating that an element had not been called correctly. How do I call those anchor links correctly.I place the javascript call on the links themselves which provided me with the functionality of pressing each one to make the gallery advance forward or backwards, but how would I make it so that as the images rotate the anchor links hightlight giving an indication of what the current image link is?
I have yet to be able to do this successfully. I am using the Cycle Plugin to cycle through a series of images and corresponding caption. To show the images, I use:
Problem: The captions do not effectively cycle. What appears is the first caption from php the_excerpt but it does not change to the next php the_excerpt text. Can I solve this problem so I get the text from php the_excerpt to correspond to each image??
I've found a post regarding this issue but it's a little bit different this time.So I've created a .php script which creates some galleries where users can click them and browse their respective photos. It works like a charm in Chrome and FireFox, but IE doesn't like it.With this code:
script type ="application/javascript"
[code]...
When I click on the gallery thumb it should open the first photo in fancybox and browsing through the gallery should by peanuts. And it is, but with IE just opens the .jpg in a blank page without fancybox. The strange thing is I've used the same script approach in another website and the fancybox works just fine with IE too. So why doesn't in this case?
Let's assume I have an a-element <a href="url">Link text</a> I know how to append text $('a').append("Some text"); I would like to add text before the Link text so it would look like this: <a href="url"> Some text Link text</a>
My callback is firing at the beginning of the animate execution instead of at its end, as is expected? It appears the callback is being fired before the animated tween even begins. [URL]. I am puzzled, but this occurs in FF and Chrome, both.
I'm using the Quicksearch plug-in and it does everything I need except for one thing. If I have two rows, for example: "Blood oranges" and "Green apples" And I search for "a", it's going to match both rows because it matches the "a" in "oranges". What I need to is to match only the beginning of each word, so that typing "a" in this case would only give me "Green apples". Is this possible?
Something like starting animation to a page with about 10 jpgs. When the page start is starting slideshow fadein animation between about 10 large pics, and when the last one appears it stays as a background to content and buttons must appear when the last picture is loaded, too with fade in animation. Is sounds not so difficult, but for me become a hard task.
how to make the following two simple image galleries:This one displays a specific image when its link is clicked ((URL address blocked: See forum rules)/tests/gallerysimp.html) And this one displays the previous/next image for whatever's showing ((URL address blocked: See forum rules)/tests/prevnext.html). (During its code, it points to this .js file ((URL address blocked: See forum rules) /tests/ nextPrevious.js).)
My question is, how do I combine those two galleries? How can I make one gallery that contains both kinds of links? Since the two galleries were copied from different places, the names they use aren't the same, and I'm not sure what to change to make it all unified. (I tried fiddling with it for over an hour before giving up.)
I am having an issue with pausing the cycle from links within the cycle. I have set up a cycle that contains a html contentent including a 'video playlist'. This is a javascript based list that updates a flash video player with a new video inside the cycle. The videos are loading fine, but for some reason when i call the cycle 'pause', it dosent work? i have testing the $('#feature').cycle('pause'); from a link outside the cycle and that seems to be working, but it seems to be from the links inside the cycle content. here is the code i am using (i have made a custom crossfade transition)
function feature() { $('#featuretitle').hide(); $('#feature').after( '<div id="featurenav"></div>'
So, what I'm trying to do is embed links inside a cycle slide show. Here's an example:
[Code]...
As you can see, I'm using a div tag in place of an image and setting the image as the BG of the div. Then I'm overlaying some text and links on the "slide". When I click the links however, the result is animation invocation rather than link target invocation. The div click event is takingprecedenceover the link click event. Is there a built in handler in the Cycle library to handle this?
I'm using the Cycle plugin to display images for some of my past projects onhttp:[URL]..projekteMy problem is that in Chrome i get the above error in console.([cycle] terminating; zero elements found by selector) I have tried manually initializing the Cycle plugin for every project div and that did not help so I went back to my initial code:
I am working with MODx CMS. Following website: Carlindesign I integrated the cycle plugin on the home. It works but after the cycle is done the cycle call shows up instead of the next cycle.
I have seen that it is possible to combine two transitions in one cycle using a click. I would like to combine them directly after each other: a few shuffles and than a curtainX. For giving the feeling of shuffling a deck of cards and afterwards get one.
I define a cycle in document.ready as per usual. In my cycle I have different sets of images that i want to cycle through and only want certain ones to cycle as selected using the slideExpr option.
Is there a way to change this option from:
SlideExpr: 'a'
To:
SlideExpr: 'b'
Another alternative i've considered is to make a cycle of cycles.
I've worked though a lot of issues trying to get the jQuery cycle plugin working in a relatively complex situation but have hit yet another wall.
Basically, I'm trying to get the jQuery Cycle plugin to cycle through entire divs, each one of which contains yet another slider platform built in jQuery. The first div always displays exactly as it should but when I click to transition, the elements within the second div appear stacked instead of side by side on the slider as they should. I've tried modifying the CSS in every way I can think of to prevent this, but so far, no dice.
I'm not sure whether its an element of the CSS for the second slider platform (wp e-commerce product slider) or one of the two platforms themselves. One thing I did notice was that one of the inner slider divs "gallery_slider" is automatically being set to 90px wide which is way too thin, but I can't seem to figure out how to override this if that is actually the problem.
You can check out the site that I'm trying to implement this on at [url]. The trigger to change the slider div is under "Men's">"Cloth Belts".
I am working on building a site so people can get the latest reports. I am working with the existing folder architecture. Here is how the folders look.
SalesRev >
old (this is a folder inside SalesRev) salesPDF_80811.pdf (This is today's file that is in the same folder as old) I will not be able to link to the full file name sense the date will change each day. Is there anyway to link to the beginning of the file name
I have a multiple choice quiz that works fairly well. However, instead of it presenting "End of Quiz" message when last question is completed I need it to take the user back to the beginning (question 1) but with no indication to the user that this has been done. How can I adjust the code to have it do this?
<script language="JavaScript1.1"> var whichone=1 var tempmn=document.quiz.thequestion function generatequestions(){ document.quiz.theresponse.selectedIndex=0
i have text "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" in a html web page. This text is 5th paragraph of the web page. What i want is the a link that when clicked take user to the beginning of this paragraph at the same page?
I have a container with a few child <div> tags. The default fx should be 'fade', but when I click on the left or right navigational buttons the effect should temporarily change to 'scrollHorz' and after the next slide shows the default fx 'fade' kicks in again. How is this possible, if at all? I have asked on [url] to no avail.
