Should I disable the right click option or not? I have a gallery site, I don't want people to be able to copy the images with the default right click over an image. From a professional looking site point of view I suppose I would be messing with the functionality a bit too much, OR is it OK in this instance to disable the click. I know how to write the code to disable the click, but what I was thinking was maybe it would be better to leave the right click but change the menu options? I'm not sure how to change the menu options ere is a link to the site. [URL]
Second Question: For some reason, the menu is appearing behind a table row when it expands, thus hiding a good portion of the menu. Here it is: [URL]
Try clicking on 'Products & Services', and then clicking on "Centerfire Rifle Suppressors" from the dropdown menu. When it takes you to that category page, click the menu again and you will see that the menu hides behind the <h1> table row.
I have a basic dropdown css menu system. When a menu item is selected (ex: foo.html), the cluetip link opens a 450px wide window as expectedThen,I selectanother menu item (ex: bar.html). But when I return to link foo.html: and click the same clueTip link the clueTip link now opens in it's own window instead of the 450px clueTip window as beore would expect the small clueTip window to open and show the clueTip on each successive click as it does the first time. If I do a browser reload, the first menu selection works as it should, but only on the first click.If the menu is not used, the single file opens the clueTip correctly. Does clueTip get confused in a menu program?
// the cluetip code: $(document).ready(function() { $('#clickme').cluetip({

I have a site that uses the prototype and scriptaculous scripts. I also have a pulldown menu script (which I've used before) that I got from AListApart.com. The pulldown menu script does not work in IE on the pages that use the prototype/scriptaculous scripts. Is there a workaround?
I am working on an existing page for a client, he wants right click disabled in Chrome and Safari (dont ask!). The existing Javascript code works to disable the rightclick / menu in IE and FF, but not Chrome and Safari. how, if at all posible can I disable the right click menu in Chrome?
I have a menu with a lot of items that open pop-up windows when clicked on. The first item on the menu is purely intended as descriptive and default selection on the menu and is given the 'disabled' parameter- which makes the option inactive(greyed out) in Firefox; but has no effect with IE which goes ahead to open a blank pop-up window.
Please who knows how I can make a menu option to be 'disabled' in IE.

I've already tried searching google, but the Javascript functions I find there don't work in Firefox 4, but just fine in IE8.
What's happening is that the click event isn't being recognized in Firefox. Is there a new catch for it?

I'm trying to dynamically disable a Superfish menu when in mobile mode (using responsive design), so that only the main menu items are displayed. I want the Superfish menu to be re-enabled when the browser window is re-sized and the desktop CSS is re-served.
I've tried using detach() and append() to remove and restore the ULs, but I can't get that to work properly.
I am new to javascript stuff but am looking to develop a form which includes 2 drop down menus but I would like to grey out some options in the second one based on the selection in the first. Basically this is a simplification of what I have:
What I would like is that if south or east are selected for orientation then I can only select front left or front right but if north or west are selected then only rear left or rear right are available.

i have a page with a table, and when the user doubleclicks a row in it, a window is opened. The problem is, if he doubleclicked a text in the row, it's becoming selected.
what i want is to disable the selection upon doubleclicking, but no the selection at all (so that the user can still just use the mouse to select some text in the table).
is there a javascript command that can disable the selection currently highlighted?
