An error 'Object expected' error occurs when loading the page online in IE.There is no error in any browser when it is in local.I need to show a popup when mouse is moved upwards...it works nice in all browsers offline but when it is made online it is not working properly in IE,when the mouse is moved upward popup shows with an error 'Object expected' and it fails to load that instant.In mozilla and other browsers it works properly.

my site seems to be working perfectly on firefox but when I access it on internet explorer everything loads fine but there is a yellow marker on the status bar of IE saying there are errors on the page. I copied the source into dreamweaver to check for browser specefic bugs but the only bugs that came up were that in Netscape. So any idea why this is happening? The link to my site is in my profile.
I have come across an issue that only happens with IE.I have a custom save function that is designed to handle different ajax submits but I will simplify it for debugging. The issue is that once I make a submit everthing is fine at first. Then once I try to submit a second time it craps out. I am checking to see if there is an onsubmit function and then executing it like so before continuing. After the inital submit it is no longer found. When I alert the typeof document on the form it returns object but when I add the onsubmit it says object expected or object is null or undefined.

I have a problem with the javascript (I'm using jQuery) in a facebook application in internet explorer 7:[URL]..In the background some facebook like iFrames are loaded and when the user clicks on one of those attractions on that map the attraction should zoom out and the like buttons of this attracion should appear. I have only a very old pc with msie 7 running and it seems to load those iFrames again and again and nothing else works. I doesn't have any other debugging tool then IE Developer Toolbar but that doesn't seem to show any javascript errors or information.

I am using HAPedit for HTML/Javascript and it used to work alright by clicking Display -> Browse with -> Default Browser(Internet Explorer). But since last one or two days it gives the following error: "The page cannot be displayed" and the following is shown in the URL bar [URL] But, however, if I navigate to the file by using File -> Open of the IE, the result is shown correctly.
I'm receiving an "Object Expected" Error (Line:28, Char:7). I'm confused as to what is happening. I have virtually the same exact function in a different web page and I do not receive an error with this other page. Also, if I run this code in Fire Fox, I do not receive any error. I am still new to JavaScript and have a simple JavaScript & PHP journal program that allows the user to enter a title and description to be automatically added to a page that list their journal entries.
Everything works fine except for one part that I am just lost on, at the bottom of the page there is a dropdown menu which lists monthly archives, but when you select any month from the list you get a script error and nothing happens. You are supposed to go to a page that would list al the entries from that month.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I do not have the knowledge yet to fix this nor can I find the site that originally created this script.
I have dozens of pages on my website which have just started showing an 'Error on page' message at the bottom left of Internet Explorer 8.0. These messages do not appear when using Mozilla Firefox. My website is www.lakesandcumbria.com and an example of a page showing the error message is [URL] which contains a javascript drop down list. All other pages using this type of drop down list are showing the same error message (dozens of them).
The issue I'm having is that although the form is being processed OK with data being captured in the database, once the form is submitted, the above script just seems to stop the rest of the page from loading. This only happens on IE and it must be something to do with the success function but as I'm new to JavaScript I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I am working on a script to allow the user to click on an image to turn table header locking on and off. Everything appears to work fine, with the exception of one quirk that is occurring when I run the test page in Internet Explorer (7, in this case). If you click on the icon once to turn on header locking, it works. If you then click the icon again, it turns off header locking, as it is supposed to. But after that, you can no longer click on the icon. It is as if it loses the event binding. I am not removing or in anyway creating a new instance of the icon (although I did try using live() instead of click() just to be safe). Also, if I run this same page in Firefox, I do not have this problem. You can see the example page and view the complete source at [URL]
I have taken part of some code I know works and simply added a print statemet to it as I want it to print to the command prompt, where I am running the script, the value of REMOTEDIR why the addition of the print statement provides an error: ERROR: JScript runtime error: Object expected
Have been hammering away at this problem for a couple of hours and found that the 'type' attribute of the jQuery script files is set to 'application/javascript'. This works in Firefox but not IE. When changed to 'text/javascript' the IE error on $(document).ready event disappears. As yet no apparent side effects have occured. This is the only scenario where I have seen 'application/javascript' ever used so why this instead of 'text/javascript'?
I seem to have come across a weird issue in internet explorer.I've been working on doing regular expressions for a register form, and I've checked it in Firefox, and Chrome and it seems to work for both of them but yet it doesn't work for Internext Explorer 6 - 8.The issue is that the drop down boxes (select fields) dont seem to be recognised for RegEx in I.E. this is causing an issue for me as I want it to work in ALL common web browers as well as keeping the whole form standard.

I have a JS HTML editor (not a WYSIWYG) that I downloaded and it works fine, except that any input with quotes causes it to break. I need the quotes for things like HTML and CSS classes etc.If I have quotes inside the onClick, it fails completely with an Object expected error. If the quotes are escaped with a , I get an "unterminated string constant" error, with this showing where a button should be
