Mine don't work on the other end - although I'm not sure if this is because they don't have Javascript enabled in MS Explorer 6. I save the entire HTML file + script into my Stationery folder. Then I select Message/New Message Using [select stationery file]. Should it work? Say I sent this by email:
<html> <head> <script> alert("Hi there!"); </script> </head> <body> <p>Can you see the alert box? Let me know.</p> </body>
i want to add the link address when clicked on the link in web page to the outlook express address book when the outlook window populates. i tried to put
<a href="mailto:enquiry@mydomain.com" > click here </a>
but it only add address to the To section of outlook window, i want it should store the address in the address book.. of outlook express..
I have a website with a Login page (no username only password required), but at the moment it only works when you click Login after entering the password. How could i make it so that pressing Enter will do the same???? here is the full index.html file
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head>
Well I was wondering, I have a link with a mouseover function. All works great, but I realy want to have this function not with a mouseover, but when pressing the "enter" key.
So I see the same thing as mouseover but only now when I press enter.
I'm working on a project where I have to apply filtering as used on one table (using the jQuery datatables plugin) to a next table (which is using the picnet.table.filter plugin).
Now, I have been able to retrieve the values used to filter from the original table, and I have been able to put them as filterValues in the other table, but ..the table does not automatically filter correctly. I first have to press 'enter' (or add a space) to one of the values. when I do this, the filtering works perfectly.
My problem is, I want this filtering to be applied as soon as I open the page, since the heading of the table will be hidden, and the user is not supposed to have the opportunity to see or change the filter-boxes.
Does anyone know if there is an efficient way to simulate pressing enter using javascript?
I'm creating a new email in javascript via outlook. When i try entering a line break " etc, Outlook just ignores it completely. I've tried using "%0D%0A" and "fromCharCode(10)" as well but it doesnt seem to read it as a line break. Is there any way to code it so that a line break or a carriage return appears on outlook?
I have a text box and everytime I press enter on it I get the form submited. How can I avoid that behaviour? I tried: for the text onKeyDown="donotsubmit()" Code: function donotsubmit { var keyCode = event.keyCode ? event.keyCode : event.which ? event.which : event.charCode; //alert(keyCode); if (keyCode == 13) { document.form1.submit()=false; }// if } But dosen't seem to work.
I am trying to make a textbox enter input by pressing the enter key, not just clicking a submit button. For some reason or another it is not working correctly for me. I found this snipet of code that works for me but I was wondering if someone can explain it to me. I get the basic of what it is doing, I just want to understand it better.
Anyone know whether it's possible to allow users to double click items of a multi-line text field? Of course, I want the double click to take them to another URL
I have a text area that the user enters information into this text area then becomes a string and is displayed. Currently if the user presses enter it shows in the test area as a new line however in the string it is only a space. How can I get the string to recognise and display the enter as a new line.
I haven't really used javasript in my site so far, but I think I need it here. I have a large text box where the user can enter several lines of text. The problem is, that I want the enter key to start a new line when the user is entering text, rather than submitting what has so far been entered. What I've got so far has stopped the enter key from submitting, but has also prevented it from starting a new line:
<form action='aaa.[php]' method='POST'> <input type='text' name='text' onkeydown="if (event.keyCode==13){return false}" > <input type='submit' name='zzz' value='Submit'> This completely disables the enter key. How to make it so that the enter key starts new lines?
I check data validity in html form by JS. Something like
for (i=0; i<document.form[0].elements.length; i++) { chechkValidity(i); }
Unfortunately, the form[0] has about two thousands elements (it is statistical questioning form for companies) and execution of this one cycle takes about twenty seconds.
The problem is, that during these 20 seconds the browser "freezes": The button activating the cycle disappears and the mouse pointer doesn't change into "watch" (sandglass) showing that something is being carried out.
Although after the 20s everything is ok, it is not the nicest behavior of the form. I don't assume somebody is so impatient to restart during those 20 seconds. I just want to minimize the users' swearing on my address and tha's why my question:
How to show the progress of that cursed for-cycle?
I have a page that submits to a db then re-loads its self with new information. Unfortunately it goes wrong when the user double clicks on a one of many text links that provides the info for the display on reload. How do I stop users from double clicking on the page? Ideally I think I would like to call some sort of js function from body onload as I presume this would then cover the whole of the page, but have no idea if this is possible or how to go about writing it.
getting first line coordinates of multiple line inline element.
Example HTML aaa bbb ccc ddd <span id="target">eee fff ggg hhh iii jjj</span>kkk lll mmm nnn ooo ppp qqq $(document).ready(function() {
[Code]....
Assume that span#target has a line break, when I see a browser. Then I click span#target, above function returns the head of coordinates which second line ("hhh") has. I want to have the coordinates which first line ("eee") has. How can I get that?
