I have a code below where I have a table. I am adding rows dunamically on click of Add button where as If the user adds extra rows then the extra row must be deleted on press of the delete image at the last corner of the table.
How do I dynamically display images in javascript without hardcoding it. I cannot use php or any other language. My teacher said it is doable in javascript. so right now I have it hardcoded in:
var bellTowerArray = new Array(); bellTowerArray[0] = "bellTower01.jpg"; bellTowerArray[1] = "bellTower02.jpg"; bellTowerArray[2] = "bellTower03.jpg";
[Code]....
I have multiple categories of images so not just these two. I don't want to have to type in fountain# etc and stuff like that.
I'm using a 3rd party API that does asynchronous requests for me and directs response to a callback that I specify. Since my code can issue multiple requests concurrently I want some mechanism to match each response to the specific request e.g. attach a unique ID to be returned with the response. The 3rd party API does not allow me to attach any user context to the request so the only way I could figure out how to do this was to dynamically generate a callback function per request and embed the unique id in the body of that function. When the callback is invoked I can use the information to complete my handling of the response.
1) First of all if anybody has a better idea on how to achieve the above without dynamically generating script I'd be happy to hear it.2) Regardless of (1), if using my proposed method repeatedly I will be generating a lot of garbage over time, so I want to clean up after myself. Meaning, to delete the dynamic callback after it completes. Below is an example of how I wanted to do it, but it seems not to work:
for(var i = document.getElementById("tableId").rows.length; i > 0;i--) { document.getElementById("tableId").deleteRow(i -1); }
I had to write this because it took me an hour to find out the error about deleting rows from an html table by javascript. If you do this it generates an error :
for(var i = 0; i <document.getElementById("tableId").rows.length; i++) { document.getElementById("tableId").deleteRow(i -1); }
The code above wont delete all the rows because "i" is not set back to 0 although the table rows' index will be set again beginning from zero after any row is deleted from the table.
If the user wants more places for inputs I want them to be able to click "Add a User" link that will add more rows...I have some code I found but it is only good for one row and they need the option of adding multiple rows.
<script> function toggle() { if( document.getElementById("hidethis").style.display=='none' ){
I have a table in which I have 3 columns. On the firs row, last column contain a button "save". On clicking Save, the button saved is changed to a delete button and it has to insert a new row above the row.
I am trying to completely remove everything from a table. I want to delete all of the rows which I am able to do. But when I delete all of the rows and add rows in again there is whitespace at the top of the table and I can't figure out why it is there. Here is my code:
At this point I have been able to add the row. But what I want to do and am having trouble with is alternating the row colour to the dynamically added row element.
Sample of code I am using:
Code: var tbody = document.getElementById('tableItems');
var td1 = document.createElement("td"); td1.appendChild(document.createTextNode(qty)); td1.setAttribute("class","qty"); row.appendChild(td1); tbody.appendChild(row); One thing that puzzles me, is that even after adding a row the table my table.rows.length still = 0.
Does anyone know how I can determine the appropriate amount of rows so that I can apply the appropriate class?
Or is there just something blatantly wrong in my approach?
i try to make a dynamic input text on table, and it can work well, but now i have problem when i try to delete a row, the counter (number) can't work well...this script for add dynamic textfield, it work well..
how I would dynamically add another table once text fields in the existing table is clicked on. So pretty much what I have is a table with 5 textboxes lined up horizontally in the first row along with couple of buttons in the second row. What I want is that once one text box is clicked, another table like the one above is created and appears below that initial table. So this is the inital table that should be replicated on each click:
jquery and a button delete, for remove rows of database.The problem is that I do not know how must input checkbox by clickable with click delete button sent to php code?my jquery code:
I can add rows to a table dynamically. Usually triggered by a mouse click but something I am trouble with is how to get the table to a state with no rows or columns just like it has no contents. do believe I can use this codedocument.getElementById('results').tBodies[0];but I am kind of clueless where to find a complete DOM reference or a manual and don't know the attributes or properties I must use to empty (if it is even possible) a previously created table.
