The code works, its just making the functions work "per" ad. When it refreshes, it changes "all" ads, I want them to refresh at different RATE
function reloadFrames(first, refresh){delay = 0.2; //minutes to delay the refresh
max_refreshes = 3; if (max_refreshes > refresh){refreshed = refresh + 1;setTimeout("reloadFrames(false, refreshed)", delay*60*1000); if (!first) {ads = document.getElementsByName("ad");for(var i=0; i<ads.length; i++) {ads[i].src = ads[i].src;}}}
}
function reloadFrames2(first, refresh){delay = 1; //minutes to delay the refresh
[Code]....
Is this possible to get each iframe to refresh at a different rate, or even combine the functions into one?

I have a div container containing an image that shall disappear by an on-click event. But if the user won't do the click after 3 seconds, the image shall disapper by itself - using delay(). How can I combine these actions? I wasn't able to solve the problem with the bind()-functionality, but probably I misunderstood that?

I want to make it so that when I click on something, it changes what document.onclick does.
This is a simplified version of what I'm trying to do:
Code:
<div id="clickme" onclick="document.onclick = function(){ alert ('This should not be alerted on the first click'); }">Click here</div>
However, as you'll notice, the alert box shows up on the first click as well. The only way I have been able to get around this behaviour is to have the first onclick execute a timer that will then set the document.onclick after 1ms, however this seems very messy to me.

what's the correct syntax to call 2 functions from an onclick attribute? the code below doesnt work, maybe im putting semi colons in the wrong place? since the second function needs the return false, im guessing i should put that one last since return false would stop anything after that from running.
Code:
<a onclick='return confirm("are you sure?"); some_function(param1, param2 ); return false;'>test</a>
am i on the right track?

Ok, so basically what I've got is a button which when clicked, "opens" a section of the page. I also need the button to "jump" to this section of the page, because it's below the current content and won't be visible. What I've got so far is ...
Javascript
<script language="javascript">
function toggle() {
var ele = document.getElementById("toggleText");
var text = document.getElementById("displayText");
if(ele.style.display == "block") {

If I put two separate buttons, both functions will work. Basically I need them to be on the same function, not sure how to do that?

The context: I am trying to fire a Google Analytics Tracking Code, and a Website Optimiser Conversion Script on an Onclick, one after another, before following an external link. It's on an image button. It must work for JS disabled. The Problem: The first one was that the newest browsers were executing the external link before the tags were firing. I added return false; to stop this which it did. This however ignited an old problem I had - being the two scripts just would not fire one after another. The Code:

currently on our site we have and expanding <div> that responds to both the onmouseover and onmouseout events. It works wonderfully.
The UX people now would like the expanding <div> to open with the onclick event and then as soon as the mouse leaves the expanded div, it would close. I have tried using the onmouseout event in conjunction the onclick event but it does not work (the div persists).

As far as readability and consistency, which is better in your opinion (or if functional difference, that I didn't account for,)
Event.observe($('txtName'), 'keypress', handleKeyPress);
Choose one:
A.
Code:
function handleKeyPress(event) {
alert(event.keyCode);
}
B.
Code:
function handleKeyPress(evt) {
evt = evt || window.event;
alert(evt.keyCode);
}
C.
Code:
function handleKeyPress(evt) {
evt = evt ? evt : window.event;
alert(evt.keyCode);
}

I am trying to call 2 functions from the 1 onMouseOver event on an
anchor tag, but I can't seem to get it to work. the following should
demonstrate
<a onMouseOver="ShowMenu('Menu3');AddMenuToHoldArray('Menu3')">Menu
3</a>
I have tried a number of variations, like adding "javascript:" in
front of the first call, and returning True of False from the first
function, but Icant get the second function to fire after the first
one has.
by using alerts, and wathcing what IS occuring, I know that the first
is being called, but the second isn't.
I did this once some years back, but I can't seem to rember how I did,
it, and none of the example that I have located have helped, so can
anyone point me in the right direction?
