I've run into a problem where the click() event doesn't seem to work on file fields in Firefox 3, but it does under IE7, Safari and Chrome.
I've search all over but most solutions rely on using css to overlay a file field with opacity 0 and so on. Not exactly what i'm looking for and will use it as a last resort.
Any ideas on being able to use the click() method for file fields under FF3?
When the JS file is not working at the time of Ajax files is called. on first time the onmouseover JS is working but , if you call the ajax JS is not working.
can I have a field automatically clicked by calling something like click()? I have a dropdown box, one of whose elements is "Others (Please Specify)". I list the dropdown boxes values alphabetically.
Sometimes, this value happens to be on the top and SELECTED. The problem is that if this item is selected by clicking on it, in response to onChange I open a text field (so user can specify the value). If this field is automatically selected, the text field des not show; I have to select another value then click on the "Other (please Specify)" to have the text field visible.
I'm stuck with this one since my knowledge of javascript is very low, PHP I'm ok with but this is a new language to me. Anyway, I have a form (a table-less one) which I would like to have the ability to add extra file fields if needed. One is already placed but I would like the user to have the option to add more photos. Here's my html:
I wish to have my form update a text field when a 'add' link or button is clicked, allow for more entries to be added without having the page refresh. but i need to be able to have both the friends name and their number added to the field like so
if friends name is say 'jason' and their number is '0987654321' then it will add to the textarea like so.
jason [0987654321] this way i should be able to get the data and split it up when the form is send so i can add them in the DB. the part i am stuck on is how to get both fields in the textarea. allowing for more to be added without a refresh. can anyone suggest how they might do this.
I have a problem in getting database query result to text field when button was clicked. So far I have two php files, one used to connect database and save the database query value to a variable. The second php file used to create the buttons and text field.
code for dbconnection.php [code] $con_str = "host=jojo1234 port=3214 dbname=postgres user=postgres password=postgres"; $con = pg_connect("$con_str") or die('Could not connect: ' . pg_last_error()); $queryresult1 = pg_query($query1); $result11=array_sum(pg_fetch_array($queryresult1)); [code]
When a string of text is doubleclicked, the text changes into an input field, (dropdown, text, etc), and when the user presses enter or clicks out of the field, whatever they chose/typed in replaces the original string of text.
I have a set of web forms used to upload multiple files to a server. The first form (template) takes information shared between the files, and the remaining forms have the file information. What I am trying to do is, for each file, make a new form (final), copy the template form data into the final form, then copy the file input field into the final form, and then call an ajax upload.
I've gotten everything but the file copy correct.
Here is the code snippet:
var checkin_num = 0 var app = $("#app-frame") //the frame where the web application is displayed var template_items = $("#CoreForm").find("INPUT"); //action/method and some hidden inputs set to '...' to save spece
I am trying to make it where someone can upload a .csv file, and I want to allow them to add multiple ones if they need more than the two that are already there.
The problem with that is once they choose a file or two on those first two, then click the add a new field, it does add the new field so it works, but then the files they chose are gone, so now they have to rechoose them. every time.
this is a code I recently found that enables dynamic creation of a file upload field within a form using javascript. I am new to all of this and have some previous actionscript 3.0 experience. Is there an IF statement that I can place inside the 'addLoadEvent' function that can limit the amount of fields created?
Code: function fileFields() { var x = document.getElementById('imageUpload');
I have a table set up with a .click() function on each row sothat if it is clicked on, a class is added to the row thus changingthe background, etc. I was wondering if there was is a way to takethe id of the row that was clicked and populate a hidden field withit. What would I need to include in my .click() function for this towork?Here is my current one:
I am using multiple links at the same page with same class(cannot access using id because of multiple links) like
<a class="coupon_link" href="#?stockAlert=45">Click here to get coupon</a> <a class="coupon_link" href="#?stockAlert=46">Click here to get coupon</a> <a class="coupon_link" href="#?stockAlert=47">Click here to get coupon</a>
i am looking for a way to click on a button next to a time field that will paste the current date and time into that filed in this format: 01:00:00 08-08-2007 is that possible?
I am wanting to simplify a page that I'm writing... the guts behind the page is PHP and wondering if it's possible to upload a photo in one click. How would I approach having the browsed file detected once it's populated into the form field and have it auto uploaded? Can this be done?
i'm busy making a site for a audiovisual company and i'm stuck at the CMS system by adding pictures to a project page. Adding one single photo isn't the problem but I want a button to add a new file input field and insert that second (or thirth, fourth etc etc) into a new row in the database.... The script that i'm using right now, clones the input field but doesn't "activates" it.... You can't select a file....
I want to show pictures of my students on a page so I can take the presence easily. I made that using a MySQL DB with php. That's the easy part.
Next, i managed to make a jquery script so when I click each image the border of that image cycle through green, red and yellow (in - out - late css class).
Here is the html code (id from hidden field is the student number)
Now, I want to set each hidden field value according to the state of the image (in ou or late) with jquery and submit all hidden field to put it in my DB.
I am doing donation script. Here is my script so far
<script type="text/javascript"> <!--// function chkDonation(){ var form = document.forms[0]; // FORM NAME OR PLACE IN FORMS COLLECTION //; var amount = form['OtherAmount']; // TARGETTED INPUT NAME ( OtherAmount ) //; amount.style.visibility = 'hidden'; for(var i=0, input=form.getElementsByTagName('input'); i<input.length; i++){ if(input[i].type.match(/radio/i) && input[i].name.match(/DonationAmount/i)){ if(input[i].value.match(/Other/i)){ input[i].onclick = function(){ amount.style.visibility = 'visible'; .....
I have pretty much completed my script but now what I want it to do is to add more forms/field when the "Other" radio button is selected. So when the Other button is checked, I want the script to display more fields/forms below. Only when the "other" button is selected. When "other" selected the script should display fields like "cheque", "cash", "Payment" etc.
